New patch for Switch port of The Witcher 3 improves graphics, adds cross save with PC version

Witcher-3-01.png

The Witcher 3 launched on Nintendo Switch back in October, bringing CD Projekt Red's massive open-world RPG to Nintendo's hybrid console. That wasn't the end of the Switch version, however, as a new patch is going out for the game, improving upon the already impressive port. Currently, the 3.6 patch has gone live in European and Asian territories, bringing with it improved graphics, touch controls for Gwent, optimizations, and cross-save support for the Steam and GOG PC versions of The Witcher 3. A pre and post patch graphical comparison is linked below.

Definitely unexpected and a welcome addition. Makes me wonder if they have other Switch projects/ports that they're working on which added improvements to the Switch build of their engine that they were able to backport into the Witcher III.

I was deeply thinking to buy the switch version as I have the PC release already. Now I changed my mind, they deserve full support for their great work and love put into this, also, the Withcer MF-portable 3 is as great as it already sounds.

"new graphics"
I see literally no difference in that screenshot, both still look like puke smeared over an lcd.

Aw, is warweeny's PSP Vita shaped dildo too weak to run everything that's on the Switch? XD

We still can't use script based mods sadly. Or textures...
