I just have another issue, when i start Tinfoil i don't know how to connect to nut.
I started NUT on the pc, but on file browser there's no USBFS and i don't know which parameters to use to connect to the pc via USB
in file browser i can only see USB, USER, SAFE, Gdrive
Maybe i should try to read a guide, but can someone link to a noob guide?
No i installed the exe file in the nut zip...
what i can see is that in device manager the "tinfoil" driver gives me an error... i installed with Zadig libk and now works with usb, but nut is making a mess with my nsp. Some files are not seen in the directory: for example i have 3 files nsp for a game, base, update 1 and update 2, it sees just base and update (i had previously installed all them with Tinfoil so i know that are working).
When installed the base file, if i try to play, the game doesn't start, "you need to update the software", and of course the download fail. So i try to install the update nsp file (in the same folder of the nsp) but it loads and nothing change (again i know the update was working). Sometimes on the left side of the install screen, i see the file i selected, plug a file of another nsp, that is not even in the same folder, for example, Astral and DKTF, and i was trying to install the astral update

Update: i was able to install the updates needed with Awoo installer, but not with tinfoilHBG 
My nsp now are perfectly working.

unnecessary as your not doing anything wrong. the problem is that USB installs are broken on V 8.0 / V 8.01 - ( this has been confirmed on the Discord and by the Developer himself) said to be a new release coming soon to fix this. if you only install games via NUT. best to revert back to 7.01 for the time - being
Update: Tinfoil V8.10 out now - said to fix usbfs error

You are quite right no! for some reason even though you have Mario Odyseey on your main menu which needs an update as a legit cart, if you go into the update list it doesn't ever show up also when you search Mario Odyseey the UPD doesn't show up either. Your only option is to source the update nsp somewhere else and install it via tinfoil or download the complete base with update ticked as yes then it will intstall. I had exactly the same issue with Mario Odyseey a few days back and it took me a while to work it out but yes that is your option.

I have also a problem when closing the app, i can't go back to the home menu, i have a message "unable to open the home menu" and i have to shutdown the console. Is anyone here having the same problem with the 8.01?

Urgh, Sooo does Fusee-Prim need to be inject at boot now to get this shit to launch ? I finally just caught up on the updates I was behind on for tinfoil, and apparently it no longer plays nice with the kosmos suite's boot method w/ most kips active, nor chaining hekate into fusee-secondary. <_< pain in the ass...
8.01? I thought you switched to 8.10?
How are you exiting the app? are you pressing the home button? or exiting by pressing B first?
sometimes it will crash if you exit it incorrectly
You do not have to shutdown the console, you can just put it to sleep, then wake it and press home. I'll likely remove the home button block, it was there to prevent people from pressing home during potential disk operations. But there is an issue with some threads not exiting for some people that I have no isolated yet.
Guys, I have installed the latest tinfoil version, but once I open the app, is not showing any "new game" list. It seems like I am not connected to the HGB server. Can you guys tell me how to solve? There is an URL to set?

make sure your not missing the [ locations.config ] file
you have to re-pin your https drives in the file explorer section - read the help section in the tinfoil app it tell you how to do this as well.
