I started out with a 16gb sdhc card thinking that would be enough when I modded my 3dsxl. It wasnt enough so I bought a Samsung 64gb EVO card and now i'm trying to move everything over but it isnt working.

I formatted it to fat32, 32kb and copied everything straight over from the old card. I also tried another tutorial that said to copy multiple different things from the old card but nothing seems to be working.

Am I missing something?

Which format program are you using? guiformat is a good one for higher gb cards.

So i installed cfw on my 2ds with soundhax recently. I'm getting a 3ds after work today. I thought i remember seeing somewhere that you can hack a 3ds with the latest firmware using something from a previously hacked 3ds. How do i do that?

system transfer method is a bit outdated with what is available now. Just check what the new consoles firmware is and go from there.

I have somequestions about Plailect guide.

That’s my first time hacking 3DS, so please be patient.

First my situation:

I bought my N3DS from other guy.

The 3DS is hacking with RXTools and I wanna switch to Luma

When I boot my 3DS with SDcard, launch a menu with a countdown and 2 options "RxTools" and "HomeBrew".
(Like on image)

If I select RxTools, launch my 3DS menu

If I boot the 3DS without SDcard, launch other 3DS menu.
What's it's means?

For I switch RxTools to Luma can I just format my SDcard and follow Plailect guide?

On his guide he says:
"This page is for instructions on how to install boot9strap to a stock 3DS or 2DS. If you already have arm9loaderhax installed and are looking to update to boot9strap, follow A9LH to B9S."

But I don’t know if I have A9LH or B9S
This is my problem, I don't know if I update or I go on guide.
The first part of guide is install homebrew.
But my 3DS already have it.

A guy said me that if I wanna install Luma I need to uninstall RxTools.

It’s correct? How can I uninstall? On Plailect guide I already uninstall it?

Question about the GW blue cart:
I have Luma working and i can play all the 3ds games no problem. I use the GW blue cart for nds and also the nes emulator is nice. One thing that worries me is, in the blue cart menu, accidentally tapping the icon to install the 3ds crack, and messing up the console.
So, is there a way to deactivate or remove this option? Either in the blue cart menu itself or by deleting a file?
I'm using a kind of old firmware for the blue cart, maybe I should upgrade?

Its a pretty easy answer to that aint it? Remove the gateway card. either get a r4 card or look at the nds system that robz has on here. Eliminate the issue altogether so that you dont have anything to worry about.

Small bump for my problem about migrating from a 16gb sd card to a 64gb sd card.

I tried the steps in the tutorial about moving emunand to another sd card.

I get all the way to the part where I am supposed to expand the new partition but there is no option to expand. I've tried a lot of methods and multiple times. According to Google searches the memory card should be compatible as others have mentioned using the exact same kind.

I'm about to give and just use the 16gb and waste time swapping games back and forth when I want to play something else..

Hello guys,

I just bought a 2DS and successfully installed a CFW. I installed Twilight menu ++. Gba and Nds games seem to run fine, but I noticed that the Gb and Gbc games sometimes speed up and slow down randomly. It's easy to spot because of the sound and the timer in Super Mario games.

Did I install something wrong? Anyone knows a fix for this?

Thanks

edit: seems like it happens when the game jumps over 60fps but i dont know how to lock it.

A friend of mine bricked his n3ds without nand backup (at least I think he don't have) with a black screen.
Trying to identify what caused this, but is it possible to unbrick a n3ds without a nand backup and without a 2nd n3ds ?

I didn't follow the 3ds scene for years, so Idon't really know is it's possible yet or not.

Hello! I am sorry If I am posting this in the wrong thread, as I am not sure if the issue I have would be best answered here or on the luma thread. I have been using custom firmware for a while on my 3DS XL and my New 3DS (homebrew, luma & bootNTR). It all works fine on my N3DS, but my 3DS XL has a weird issue I don't know how to solve.

I use CFW mainly to help out with managing multiple pokemon save files. However, I have had this weird issue happen where when I try to boot up a game or load pokemon bank, I will get an error message and my system will need to reboot. It seems the only way for me to avoid this is to let my 3DS XL sit for a few minutes before loading anything. If I do this right I will be able to boot up the application fine with no issue. Other times I will still get error messages and I'll need to repair the update data for the game I am using, which then lets me run the application. All of the applications run fine once they finally boot up, but the crashes make it difficult to use them as It takes forever to get them to actually work. I have tried updating luma and my other applications and I can't seem to fix the issue. I was wondering if anyone has any insight into this and could help me out! Thanks in advance!

  • Can you get to Luma3DS settings by holding (Select) on power on?
    • If yo: What Luma version number is shown on the top of the upper screen?
  • Do you have access to GodMode9 by holding (Start) on power on?
  • Any chance booting to recovery/safe mode?
  • Any difference without SD inserted?

Please check you SD for defects, fake and corruption.
  1. Copy all your data from the SD to a computer. Reformat the SD to FAT32, 32kb cluster size, if bigger than 32GB and using Windows with guiformat.
  2. Check your SD Windows, Linux, OS X.
    • If you get any errors replace the SD.
    • If you get no errors copy your files back on the SD and try again.

Hi all.

recently I have a problem running Homebrew apps on my 3DS XL ( A9LH, 11.0.0-33E ).

ScummVS:
The app freezes with a red screen (lower display). I installed https://www.scummvm.org/frs/scummvm/2.1.1/scummvm-2.1.1-3ds.zip

snes9x_3ds:
https://github.com/bubble2k16/snes9x_3ds/releases/download/v1.30/snes9x_3ds-v1.30.zip
The app runs fine so far, but when I exit this app the lower screen freezes with the red screen.

I replaced boot.3dsx on the sd card with the latest release from https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu but it does not fix the issue. I also re-formatted the sd card.

Can anyone help please?

Hi!
My 2DS XL doesn't want to update from 11.10.0.
I have Luma3DS v10.0.1, can you help me?
When i try, it shows the "unable to update" error.

Hi!

I haven't updated my Luma since 11.6, rn my Old 3DS runs a Sys 11.6.0-39E. How can I update to the latest Luma version?

Also, would it be safe to use online services such as Pokémon Bank?

Thanks in advance!
