Hello everyone, I just released the final version of the patch (no more beta, if some of you were waiting for that to give the game a try).

The link is on the first page of this thread.

I don't think you'll encounter any issue, but if you do, please contact me, and I hope you'll enjoy my work.

Have a nice day!

My ISO has the same problem i delete the first partition, the one that has few ios files
from what I saw it looks like partition 0 changes only something related to the name of the game!
I'll try again using your suggestion, because even managing to use the patch the letters were buggy

I deleted partition 0 I did the whole procedure again but still the words are still buggy, is this normal for this translation or am I doing something wrong?

Good evening. If the text is messed up and you're using dolphin, remember to put the "safe" option for cache in graphic settings. (More info in the readme file). Do not hesitate to ask if you meet any further difficulties.

I can't thank you enough for doing this. It's unfortunate that so many people who would enjoy this have moved on from their Wii's. Your work should have hundreds of likes and thousands of people using it; you really aren't getting enough credit for what you've done. And taking a Japanese game into English when French is your language? Amazing!

I tried again to make it work and the resulting ISO file is still in Japanese. But it is obviously working for everyone else so I either have a bad J ISO or I can't follow instructions. That's my problem. Again, thank you for doing this - it's obviously very well done judging by the videos.

Is it normal that the text looks scrambled for a second and then fixes itself? (dolphin - used method 3).

Soooo.... you know when you write an email, read it a thousand times and finally send it, only to discover afterwards that you did a typo? Just found out that the window for gems and weapons in Steward's menu is slightly smaller than Arte's shop window, resulting in one of the gems (flash gem) description to look like THAT:

fVv7AG5.png

Nothing major of course, but I published a 2.01 version of the patch (as well as an update for 2.00 containing only the modified files), so you can play the game without that annoying mistake, plus a typo in the little mermaid description that had skipped my scrutiny.

To make it up to you, I created 3 gecko codes I included in the two versions of 2.01 patch:
  • one code to complete the heritage collection (100%),
  • one which gives you every gem,
  • one which gives you every weapon (BTW, the patch also corrects a last flickering menu when using "Doomsday" blade, which is a weapon I couldn't obtain by myself, and thus couldn't notice the bug).
I think you might enjoy Earth Seeker more, as things like strong gems really take time to be obtained, and can only be by the end of the game : I hope it makes my mistake a bit forgettable, and apologize to people who had already downloaded the 2.00 version...

Goodnight to everyone !

Thank you for your support and kind words. I'm sorry you can't manage to apply the patch to your iso. Mind sending a screenshot of your Wiiscrubber with the files in it? I might be able to find what's wrong? I'll gladly help if I can. Have a good night.

I made some unexpected discovery today, by switching my wii from 16:9 to 4:3 ratio. It appears that the game isn't using the same font for the two aspect ratios !

While it doesn't affect the text itself, I had tweaked the font to remove the japanese in the cutscene, as well as have the horizontal ellipsis on the bottom of the line.

Therefore, these modifications would not show if you were to play on 4:3 (for example on an old CRT).

So I decided to publish one "last" (hope so!) patch, with the font for the 4:3 ratio included.

This is the only modification the V2.02 does : if you do not intend to play in 4:3, you don't need to download it.

But if you're like me and want your game to be the closest to an "official western release" (and don't mind my bad "frenglish"), then you can download V2.02 at the usual link.

V2.02 update to V2.00 and/or V2.01: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_2kUCRdb-SS8VvE58JkBsdRaxkkfFtUL

Please find below pictures of the improved font for 4.3 aspect ratio, and good night to all!

Thanks a lot! I'm more into classic jrpgs so I don't know if I'll play this one soon, but this game gives strong Phantasy Star vibes. Thanks again for all the effort and work you and the rest of the team have put to bring this game to non-Japanese speakers.

Thanks a lot, but I actually am alone, although I couldn't have done it without the people who paved the way before me (check the credits in the "readme" if you want to know about them and the efforts they put in their work).

You see, it was my first translation ever on Wii (not to mention in English), and now I have quite a fever for doing it again ! I might release another one for another game someday, but for the time being, it is really an honor that people are using my patch.

Thanks again, take care !
