I Bought a 256 GB Micro Sd for my switch .
Cost : $15.55
The writing on the micro SD card was a lie , it took ages to pass any kind of file , I even try it with Tx and it keep asking for the boot.dat file .
A total Scam I already ask for a refund .
So be aware of Microsd cards on AliExpress !!?
The brand of the Micro Sd , Lime .

Always stick with name brand. I only buy from Sandisk directly from their store on Amazon, and they ALWAYS have SD cards on sale. Got a 400GB card for $48 during black friday.

I'm buying Lexar Pro x667 SDcard from Aliexpress and they are great. (~30€ for 256GB)
I guess the Lexar x633 would also be ok. (~25€ for256GB)

About your SDcard, Test it with 'h2testw' (Win) or 'f3' (linux/osx) applications with a hardware (SD reader+usb3.1_port+PC) that won't bottleneck your writing and reading test.

I hope h2testw shows it's a fake/defective card. This way you could get a refund.

This card seems trash, 15€ trashed, but maybe it's really 256GB class10 only... Which is too slow.
It does have 250 gb but its super slow , and if you put small file as boot.dat it nos even read from the switch

Amazon is not always to be trusted either, they have been known to sell many knockoff Sandisk cards. Whenever you make a claim with Sandisk the first thing they get you to do is tell them what the writing is on the back of the card, and where it was made to immediately flush out the fakes being sold on Amazon.

So if you see a dirt cheap Sandisk for sale on Amazon its probably to good to be true. Like @Jayro said..make sure its from the direct store.

Buying SD Cards from China is like playing Russian Roulette with 5 bullets instead of 1.
I thought i dont hace 30 dollards and 15 dollards seems a pretty good deal , now i know that cheap is expensive

Amazon also can’t be trusted with desktop processors. I ordered a 9900ks from them, they sent me some cheap ass laptop cpu

Yeah, I suppose we have all been caught out with a silly price at some point! I get all my memory cards from supermarkets now in the U.K, any probs and it goes back :)

How do you know it has 250gb? Have you tested it with h2wtest? Just because Windows says it has 250Gb available, doesn't mean this is actually true. Counterfeit SD cards will report more capacity than they actually have. Run h2wtest.
