I just recently hacked my JPN Wii and whenever Im trying to play Mario Party 9, Im getting Region Error, tried on wiiflow lite, same error. Video Mode is already set to Disc Default. Please help. Been trying to fix this for days now.

Edit:
Priiloader is installed and I also selected all region free stuff.

Hello,

What is your USB support (USB key, external hard drive) <== FAT32 recommend <=== ??

Which version of CIOS (v10 beta 52 or version 8 final) do you have installed?

What's so special with this usb loader if you don't mind me asking?
While I got many errors with USB LoaderGX, I did nothing to my Wii and CFG USB Loader did loaded my isos.

It might be just me, I honestly can't remember which ios/cios I have installed... but yeah...

CFG USB Loader works better than USB LoaderGX... at least for me.

I'm seeing the same error. Same soft-modded JPN Wii with USB Loader GX. Mario Party 9 is NTSC-U. Other games that are also NTSC-U run fine, only Mario Party 9 gives me Region Error.

I'm interested to know if this issue was finally resolved?

Hello,

do you use wii backup manager to manage your games?

With wii backup manager, you can see if your game is correct, go to ==> tools ==> SHA1-hash => then check the element:

If it is green ==> OK
If it's red ==> to delete and redo the Dump (original copy)

for me, works with these three loaders:

Mario party 9 PAL:

Configurable loader v70 => cios 249 base 56
wiiflow 5.4.0 == <cios 249 base 56
usb loader gx 1271 ==> cios 249 base 56

I use WitGui on my Mac. I don't have access to a Windows machine at the moment, but I will try when I get the chance. Thank you for the info!

For those having the same error and haven’t managed to fix it. I fixed mine by using region changing my wii to US

Awesome! Thanks for sharing the tip, I assume you are using AnyRegion Changer to change the region?

Found a working solution from another website

Match game language and video mode to game disc rip.

My situation 4.3U WFL plus MP9 TChinese.
So essentially a MP9 JPN disc because TWN Wii were partially localized JPN Wii.

For me the loader setting that works is language=Japanese and video mode=game

For OP what might had worked game lang=English and video mode=game
