As I said, I uninstalled CBHX correctly, but the icon shape as a triangle that says "Don't touch" is still there and boots Haxchi.

Can I reinstall Haxchi?

It is Haxchi, just with the wrong icon. All CHBC does is set the Wii U to autoboot the Haxchi app then replaces the Haxchi info and icon with a do not touch name and triangle logo.

if you launch the do not touch app, it will launch Haxchi and I have done that even on a CHBC installed system as it lets me load the autoboot menu again without restarting the console.

reinstalling Haxchi will replace the icon and name with the Haxchi version.

Thank you guys.
Launching Haxchi with this leftover shows a CBHX screen (autoloading and if I press Home it lets me choose the configuration, but there's no CBHX to choose from.

I was worried because I pretend to sell my Wii U, but I need to remove my user.

I'm a little confused on how or if I should go about updating my Wii U's firmware, with CBHC installed. Currently on 5.5.1, where I manually click Haxchi whenever I need CFW. I'm wanting to play some games online, but don't know if I need to update to latest firmware, or if I can simply spoof and delete update folder? If I do need to update, do I uninstall CBHC first, or just update with it installed? Thanks

afaik, updating to the latest undoes cbhc, so just run the installer again. I don't think it matters if it's installed when you update.

you may be able to play games online with nnu patcher. I know that's how you can access the eshop on lower firmware, not sure about playing online though.

You can delete everything if you want. Except you want to boot into the homebrew launcher from the cbhc menu. Then you need the hblauncher on your card. Otherwise you can delete all files.

thanx for your answer @BaamAlex. i have another quesion. i have installed some games to usb hdd over the last 2 days. its all working. today i see under downloads a system update notification. it has an error, because it can't be downloaded. i have cbhc and i am blocking enabled over dns. is this normal to get system update notification? and if i temporaly disable dns blocking to enter the eshop, what will happen with the notification? will the system be updated? if its normal, how i can get rid of the notification?

Hello.:)

If you followed the "recommended" Guide
you were Informed about this "Limitation" if you use ColdBoot HaxChi.:)

https://wiiu.hacks.guide/homebrew-launcher-(channel)

And yes, this Notification stays until you "organized" the Game Update through an other Way and installed it.:)

Thank you.:)

This is only an indicator which means your dns blocker works fine. Your console can't communicate with the nintendo servers atm. Don't worry about it.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If your console is on 5.5.4 (the latest firmware) you don't need the nnu patcher. The nnu patcher is only useful if your console is on a lower firmware. What i want to say is that consoles with a lower firmware can still use the eshop without having to be on the latest firmware.

yes, my console is on 5.5.4e.
i know this. but i would like to to to the eshop, because to download some dlc i bought. thats why i am asking.

this i found in the wiki about nnu patcher:

NNU-Patcher is a simple tool that allows Wii U consoles on older firmwares to access the Nintendo eShop without needing to update the firmware. It also allows game updates to download (with certain conditions) while still blocking system firmware updates. It supports using TubeHax DNS, and also allows older firmwares to connect as long as they are spoofed to the latest firmware.

when i am understandig it right, i cann use nnu patcher to get updates for the games directly and enter the eshop without get the system update?
