Hacking Is it worth staying on 5.05?

I would just sell the system instead of updating just to get more money for the system. I don't really understand why a lot of people don't do this.

Or buy another PS4 for new game/online support. This is probably the longest waiting game among hacking consoles within a community, so its understandable to move on and just want to enjoy whats out there. They are finding ways to patch new games to work on 5.05 but its still in the infant phase.

i suppose people are waiting for the homebrew stuff to happen or mods.

Ask yourself this: If the hack was released in 6 months, would you regret updating now? Or would you not care because you bought and played all the games that are making you feel impatient?

This should be a really easy choice because everyone knows how many games they are likely/able to buy.

depending on the game, you might be able to play some of them on the switch with an unpatched system, so that's an alternative to staying on 5.05. I don't really care much about the ps4, but I'm sticking with it 'til I can get rid of my banned account.

Don't update. Currently that's like intentionaly smashing an unpatched Switch.

IMO it's OK if hackable systems break, if every one of those sytems can be hacked (ex. PS2, a PHAT is nice, but a 90000 can be modded too). But it is just painfull to see people "destroy" hackable systems.

I've been looking for a 5.05 PS4 and I only found one (for 370€...) locally. So they are (atleast in central Europe) quite rare.

hopefully when a higher fw jb comes out it can be easier to get a hackable ps4
