Translation Riivolution patch: Earth Seeker English translation for Wii (100%)

Well "ecto ", you and I have a lot in common, I bought ikenie just like you

I tried to see whether I could use the work that was done before on that game, but so far I couldn't find the text which must be compressed in some way... you see I got lucky with earth seeker, as the japanese text was actually in plain sight, so what was left to do was translation...

But I'm gonna try a little more when I get my computer back, although, first thing first, my priority remains to finalize my earth seeker patch (I'm almost at the end of the game, so expect a new patch when my computer is repaired).

I have some Ikenie patch files for riivolution as well as the english script. All that was taken from different internet sources, so you probably have them, too. Sadly I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to hacking / programming, but since no one else seem to dive into Ikenie, I thought "why not try". So I finally bought the game and when it arrives, I'll do my worst

Yes I believe we have the same files. Also for ikenie, do not forget to download a blank savefile to install on the wii, or the game will probably not boot .

Thank you!. I never in my life expected this. I first found out this game in 2012, I believe and then in 2013 or 2014 that translation project started. I commented back then in that post how I was looking forward to that translation project. But it died down and I was sure that I would never see the translation until I found your release today. Thanks. It is truly wonderful to have this game translated.
It caught my interest because of its art style. The game looked beautiful back then.

Thank you very much ! But my work is not done, the final patch is yet to come (playing the game revealed minor flickering, mistranslations, etc... quality test in professional projects is really a mandatory step, you can really tell when they rushed it.) I think I'm gonna release one or two more beta versions, just waiting to unlock everything and consider my job decent enough to remove the "beta". Should be done by the end of February. Btw, the other game you're planning to patch... I'm guessing it's project zero IV, as I believe the patch was made for riivolution too (at least the French version was)? Glad you liked my readme and that I made things clear in it. Had fun when writing it, plus the artwork of that game was rare and hard to find, but so gorgeous! Please keep me aware of any difficulty!

Good evening.

I got tired of waiting for my computer to be repaired as I was playing the game and taking notes for corrections, so I switched to an old laptop.

The only thing is that my "readme" file is on the other drive, so I kept the "01.03" version, which doesn't matter as I would only have added a line about version 01.04 modifications.

So, I present you with what will probably be the "last" beta version, as I completed the main story and am currently doing sidequests and "Adam resurrection" quest : please download it from first page of this forum.

There shouldn't be much typo or colours / flickering issues, but if you find some I haven't corrected, please come back to me.

Really? I haven't experienced it. Are you using riivolution or maybe you modified the ISO and missed a step? Can you try to start from a fresh ISO just in case? Also, does it do that from the start or does it happen at a specific occasion? Like when saving or when you choose a quest, etc? Thank you in advance for answering, and if creating an ISO from scratch doesn't work, I'll dig into it.

Well... it works with riivolution but I'll create an ISO myself tonight and see if I get the same result as you. If I don't and other people don't, you might have to dump the game again, but I'll keep you informed. In the meantime you can keep on using 01.03. It's not as polished but everything is already translated. The worst you'll experience will be flickering menus and some sentences over border; that kind of stuff .

Apparently setting the console on the corresponding language helped (though it's weird you had no trouble with 01.03, I personally suspect you might have switched two files, like MAP_GRA and MAP_GDM) : if you're using USB Loader GX, try setting the console in japanese, or use NTSC for video mode.

Anyway, I'll come back to you soon. Might help if other users were telling us if they met trouble with 01.04?

Honestly the game is very cheap. I got mine for less than 20 dollars. Otherwise you have other options I won't discuss here
