I'm using a 128GB card in my n3ds xl with about 10GBs left of free space. I did notice at that size there's some sluggishness right when you get to the home menu. it stops after a second or two. I've never encountered slowness or sluggishness while playing a game though.

Before starting the correct guide, I removed the hack from the console through godmode. It still starts up incredibly slowly.
