Both lol. It depends on the game and people still need to find a save fix for the game(s) where it arises.
Seems like people don't bother because eventually it won't be necessary because of kernel exploits in the future

spiderman has been done, but I don't know if it's been released. the proof is messing with the character models.

if that game has an autosave issue, it could just be due to the firmware. saving and networking calls may need adjusting. I know it's like that on the ps3 with certain games, so if you're on 3.55 or whatever, and saving doesn't work or something is wrong with it, when playing a higher firmware game, you could try to correct it with ida.
