XCI files have no advantage over NSP files.
XCI is good for backing up games you own. NSP is supported by Atmosphere because it's more aimed at piracy.

The default file system that the Switch supports is FAT32Can you install FAT32 without doing the Jig thing?
This has nothing to do with the jig. You format your sd card on your pc with guiformat. Can you install FAT32 without doing the Jig thing?
Even .nsp is good for backing up games you own. There is no difference between this file formats.XCI is good for backing up games you own. NSP is supported by Atmosphere because it's more aimed at piracy.
I mean, I guess yeah, they’re just a file container format supported by FS that’s used for a bunch of things.NSP is supported by Atmosphere
Sx is and atmosphere both are the same with injections, except atmosphere is free, and buying a injector can be had for cheaper. Also, you can use system modules on atmosphere. You can't really mess up your switch using atmosphere, especially if you use Kosmos. It's copy and paste. Literally. How much experience do you have with both systems? Doesn't sound like you do honestly.i never said he doesnt need a jig i just simply pointed out or was trying to imply if hes gonna get a jig and seem to wanna ditch it as soon as he gets it and run auto rcm that he mite as well get a sx os pro to have a injector on hand as it seems he not very tech savy and it seem like a more user friendly approach in his case vs having him run atmosphere and screw his switch up by some mistake he mite make so i pointed out real comparisons vs the 2 OS and its draw backs.
in regard to your hhd comment your clearly just hating on a feature you havent used as almost adult users rarely use there switch on portable mode but instead use it as a home console.
Thank you for actually answering my question. I was legitimately curious about the portable factor of HDD use.you could use a 1\2tb 2.5 inch hdd but you could use a usb stick or a M.2 drive in a external case or like me a 540gb SSD drive for extra storage and run the games from there or use SXinstaller to copy and paste the game to your SDcard , I've taken it on holiday no problems. but you can easily connect the drive to your dock to increase your storage at home.
I copy any new games in XCI format to an external 540gb SSD drive and connect it to the switch, if the game is any goodthen use Sxinstaller to copy the game to the internal SDcard. this means i hardly ever have to remove the SDcard or turn the switch off and also it's pretty fast a copying.
Wow Lassy, you are truly the #1 GateHate AtMoron. This is just like your countless BS posts about Gateway.
XCI Loading is only half the story. XCI + USB. Get it right. 2 KILLER features that all Atmo users bash because they don't have it.
I have a 5TB HDD on my switch.. Beat that SD!. OTG cable for on the go,
LOL I love how many facts you omit when you are "correcting" everyone. Where did you learn that behavior. I bet your Dad tries to "Correct" you all the time.
Besides, what do you care. You are a pirate.
I'm more than happy to continue this conversation in a more relevant locale. Either tag me in another thread or PM me.XCI is good for backing up games you own. NSP is supported by Atmosphere because it's more aimed at piracy.
Can you hack games (use cheat codes) with FAT32? How do I set up FAT32?This has nothing to do with the jig. You format your sd card on your pc with guiformat.

Dude, you quoted me and ask me again. Can you hack games (use cheat codes) with FAT32? How do I set up FAT32?
Dude, you quoted me and ask me again.
1. Can you use cheats? Yes.
2. How to setup the sd card? Use your pc and guiformat. But thats not the point here.

Also, if you bothered to read unbiasedly, you'd see it was an actual question as to the real world portability factor. Good try in trying to warp things to suit your inside points tho. I'll give you credit for the effort involved.
Also, grammar.
Thank you for actually answering my question. I was legitimately curious about the portable factor of HDD use.
Nope. I use atmosphere.and this is why i just see this guy using Sx os as a easier alternative than atmosphere
Yes. But on lower firmwares.So... Are we anywhere near a dongle-less way of booting CFW
Hope you like soldering.I've read that TX team might have a new modchip to hack Patched Switch and Mariko Switch 2019. Maybe that will be a solution to boot up to CFW without using a Jig
I love soldering!Hope you like soldering.
FAT32 doesn't change how the Switch works at all. You just need to use Minitool Partition Wizard or guiformat to reformat the card to FAT32.Can you install FAT32 without doing the Jig thing?
Are you talking about the method to launch hacks from the News applet or something like that?Yes. But on lower firmwares.
The reason I don't know that much about FAT32 is because I just got interested in hacking my Nintendo Switch last week. How many GB at max do I need for FAT32?and this is why i just see this guy using Sx os as a easier alternative than atmosphere

this guy literaly doesnt even know what fat32 format is let alone savy enought to set up his own sd by copying files overs needed for kosmos OPs every single reply post on here tells you as much. do you honestly think hes gonna keep up with sigpatches and system modules and using quarks to install games. as some one that runs both Os i can tell you that people like Op mite as well get Sx os dispate it costing more $$ as you say. it a easier solution for people that just wanna hit the floor running with little to no effort or technical savy i only dont care for Sx vs atmosphere debates im purely giving OP the best course of action for his especific case and saving the forum from 50 post from OP at every turn cause he doesnt know wtf hes doing to begin with
You can use any amount of gb for fat32. You just need to use a program like guiformat or minitool to format it that way.The reason I don't know that much about FAT32 is because I just got interested in hacking my Nintendo Switch last week. How many GB at max do I need for FAT32?
d00d...you're offtopic. You can use any amount of gb for fat32. You just need to use a program like guiformat or minitool to format it that way.
Then you google kosmos nx and download the latest one. Along with the sig patches. Copy bothe extracted files to the SDCard.
Then you use a jig or paper clip or whatever and go into rcm mode.
Then boot is late from the pc or phone and go into tools and turn on autorcm.
Now make an emmunand, boot into cfw, whatever you want to do.
