Hacking Updated to 9.0.0 with cfw, but now i cant play my carts

Use hekate to boot custom firmware. In the settings is the option to turn off NOGC

I never had luck using the ini file. Doing this in hekate is easy to use to boot atmosphere and the best way to turn of nogc so it can update the card firmware.

I updated my switch to 9.1 and Atomsphere 0.10.1
Auto NOGC is enabled by default.

But somehow my game cart is still working?
I thought that setting would disable the use of the game cart?

Enabling NOGC disables updating gamecart slot, not usage.

I thought it disables the usage as using it automatically updates it? Because even my old carts didn't work when NOGC was enabled.

I think when the gc slot has not been updated, fw 9 and up would not let me use the game cart?
(Thus would display the game cart can not be read).
AUTO NOGC = 1, then no gc slot firmware update, then I shall not able to use the game cart?

Maybe I've already updated the slot firmware accidentally.
How can I check the gc slot firmware version/level other than downgrade beblow fw 9 and try using cart?

Just boot using hekate and go into hekate settings to disable autoNOGC. Then boot into atmosphere normally.

Quick question if anyone has any knowledge on this one. Updated to 9.1.0 online so my GC firmware is the latest. Able to play carts no problem. What happens when I update the emuNAND, does it reflash the GC firmware a second time? If so, wouldn't there be some kind of mismatch if it gets scanned?

No, because you're supposed to be offline all the time when using CFW, or using incognito/90dns when using CFW. If you go online while using CFW to update your system either sysnand or emunand, you're likely generating logs Nintendo can use to ban you.
The way to go to update your emunand is by using ChoiDujourNX.

If you are using emunand, remember it's fully separated from your sysnand and what you do in any of them does not affect the other.

Regarding the game cart, it's just fuses that are getting burnt, an update can't burn the same fuse twice so it's fine.

Sorry, I didn't explain that very well. I restored my 4.1.0 clean boot 0/1 and rawnand.bin (emuNAND is on 8.1.0 with no internet connection, never had WiFi settings entered). Updated my clean sysNAND officially so I can play online. All good and not banned seeing as my clean sysNAND had never had any sort of hacks on it and the backup was the very first thing I done (also used emuNAND from day one).

I tried to boot the Switch with the latest sxos and got an error. I had forgotten to take the cart out of the slot... hopefully that type of thing doesn't leave any kind of log on the sysNAND!

It would be helpful if you could upload your BCT.ini and hekate_ipl.ini so we can check if you have disabled nogc correctly.

Your hekate_ipl.ini config is wrong. You need to set "autonogc=0". Also it seems your hekate_ipl.ini isn't read by hekate on your system. Try to enter hekate. You can disable autonogc in the GUI too.

You boot with hekate or fusee-primary?

I typically boot with Hekate, and I pick the fusee-primary payload. I just tried booting straight from fusee-primary, not using Hekate and it still gives me an error.
