Depends on you! Jailbreaking aside, If you plan to use your switch mainly "on the go" then the increased battery life of the switch lite is the way to go. If however you think youll dock the system every now and then, then you have to get the "classic" as the lite cant dock

OG Switch is more versatile and feature packed, but Lite offers drastically better handheld experience. So, basically it comes down to getting regular if you care about co-op and TV play, and getting Lite if "on-the-go" is your primary preference.

Preety strong is also easy method to replce drifting analogs... because N put in Lite same crappy ones
Yeah..those bother me so much. Feels like gambling. Giving so much money on something youre not sure will work. Not to mention i cant afford to buy new from the store but second hand, and if those break i need to pay equivalent of half od switch or entire switch for 2 controllers. And for that money i could have bought new with warranty....
Those controllers really bother me!

Here are the three mayor problems with the Switch Lite:

*Harder to repair, if you suffer from joycon driff you are screwed.

* Less powerful hardware.

* Not every game will run well (or run at all) on it.

And that's basically it.
You mean when you suffer from joycon drift. It's not an "if", it happens to everyone sooner or later.

The hardware is the same as the red box Switch. The cooling system is pretty much unchanged from the OG and red box Switch as well so there is no reason it should perform worse. You're stuck witn handheld mode only though which is the real issue. Even if you don't think you'll play it docked, there are always those times when you have friends over or something and you want to play a few rounds of Smash and Mario Kart and you can't because you went with the inferior model. Well, you technically can, but you wouldn't want to. All of you huddling around that tiny screen is not going to be a good experience.
Plus, certain games like Super Mario Party require JoyCons, if you want to play any of those games that's an extra $70 purchase, bringing the price up to the same as an OG non red box Switch, and you still can't dock...

My Son has just started experiencing joystick drift after a year of very light use. I'm glad I can just buy a new joycon instead of having to open up the whole console.

no brainer, it has full support for all games whereas lite doesnt.

if you have a fault with your joycon, you only have it to take apart, the lite youd have the full console just to replace the cheap analogue stick.

it runs on your tv, the lite doesnt (completely going against all the switch marketing and advertising so called family fun crap).

yes the lite is a means for nintnedo to roll out the 3ds and also attempt to have tried to block exploits, we will see soon when the ps5/xbxsx launch, nintendo will make the lite its new handheld and if its sales decline and is unable to keep up again, it will roll out another cheap inferior hardware console to try keep in line the the others.

if you dont like what i said, scroll on and ignore, dont be a fanboy trying to defend, as most of the shit i say that you dont like, has ended up happening, so leave your views, im not interested nor want the fans quoting me, simply scroll on.

Op you look weak minded making a thread like this and bothering people to convince you of something. I would never make a thread like this. Just do the research and make up your own mind its not that difficult.
Wow. Way to be stupid and an asshole. They're not weak. They just want actual opinions. You sound really fucking weak- minded. Acting like such a prick

I was on same wagon when I i try buy Wii U and N skipped my whole country with distribution like - like some unknown 3-world country. Back to the topic. I was really disappointed when they release Lite with same drifty design - What are they smoking there?

I've got both, I personally use the lite 90% of the time, but if I had to ditch one of them it would be the lite for lack of versatility. Party-games (almost any multiplayer game on a single console) need a big screen.
