Being currently space year 2020 (didn't even have to backspace there, though that was mainly because I caught myself before I typed it) there are a lot of technological niceties in terms of storage, bandwidth, computing power and more besides that but a few years prior (though maybe longer) were far more limited or expensive to achieve things that today anybody can do.

What do you still have your mind twinge at despite no realistic chances of you exhausting a supply with that course of action.

If I left a video playback autoplay (1080p or better of course) to have as background noise does it cause a twitch? Even if I shot RAW on my camera I am unlikely to do too much damage to modern SDHC storage at crazy resolutions with multiple backup shots, even video is pushing it for the barest of curation, yet I will find myself worrying about that despite the far more likely problem that my battery will die (especially with flash). Do you still delete emails despite text being an even lesser issue? Does storing music (assuming you don't stream all the time) in lossless bother you?

I understand some of you still have bandwidth limits not only on mobile devices but on fully paid up home internet as well but not all of us suffer such fates.

Note I am not looking for far more reasonable "I don't like leaving things on standby" or "I close ports after I am done" type scenarios.

i have a 1080 ti but i still sometimes stick to high/med-high because either that's how you disable motion blur or i feel i can't run it

or my cpu can't run it

You do know that you can use max settings and disable motion blur, right?

My computer resources are still limited lol
Rockin' that Intel Atom z-8330 with a whole 2gb of ram, and a computer that has a Core 2 Duo still with the 2gb of ram
(although I do have a gaming laptop but I only play Gzdoom with all the settings on high, doesn't really count huh)

My computer isn't exactly stellar anymore, but then again...neither are the games I play. Which results in a probably weird situation: I never even bother to try out the best settings for a game. if it isn't auto-set correctly, I only tweak it down if there is anything of the matter.

Heck...if you gave me a version of pong that started with a "set the settings" launcher, I probably STILL wouldn't set it to the highest settings. :P

EDIT: I still do MP3's because my storage on my phone isn't endless. Oh, and also...my reasoning is that my collection can be ten times as large if I don't use a (lack of) compression method that I can't hear the difference in.

Oh, and I almost forgot: before I moved, I had my computer and television going from a single power strip, with the connection near the PC. So whenever I was going to leave the house, I just powered down everything. It wasn't so much to conserve on the led's electricity as it was on light pollution. I mean...PC monitor, PC itself, two speakers and the television's standby time...whenever the room was supposed to be pitch black, it was almost a seventies disco if I "left everything on".

I still feel like if I open more than 2 or 3 tabs/windows at once then my PC will freeze. I just can't do it. Even though I have enough memory and processing power to have hundreds open.
