How to install the Homebrew Launcher and Luma3DS (FrogTool) !

I've been searching for tutorials about actually installing Homebrew and CFW, but with no luck (so i decided to make one!).

REQUIREMENTS

A 3DS SYSTEM -- A PC AND A MICRO SD CARD

You also need the internet, and if you don't have one well good luck trying to figure that one out.

Homebrew:

1. Check your firmware

At your home screen, open up System Settings.
On the top screen, on the lower right you can see your firmware. If it's 1.13 or above, you should be set (note that i already installed CFW).

2. Download Steel Driver: Sub Wars

Make sure you have an NNID and enter the eShop.
Search for "Steel Driver Sub Wars".
Now, DON'T install the update. If you install the update, it won't work anymore, instead, download the game.
Once downloaded, launch it.
Press A to select a Mii and then go back to the title screen. Exit the game.

3. Insert MicroSD Card
Take out your SD card from your 3DS and insert it into your PC.

4. Files

First off, create a folder where you store the files needed. For now, let's call it "3DS".

Now, download the boot.3dsx file: https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu/releases/
Then let's download the required files for the Steelhax Installer: https://github.com/VegaRoXas/vegaroxas.github.io/blob/master/files/steelhax-installer.rar
Also, download the payload (go back to your system settings to match the selected): https://deadphoenix8091.github.io/3ds/
Put all of your files into your folder.
Then, open this website: http://bruteforcemovable.com/

Now, this is the real meat, bare with me.
Go to http://bruteforcemovable.com/ and insert your friend code. Now, you need your ID0. To get it, make a backup of your Nintendo 3DS folder in your SD root. (Name it something like "My Nintendo 3DS").
Then, reinsert the SD card to your 3DS, and should make a HOME Menu Management something like that. Then reinsert it to the PC again.
In your SD root, go to the newly created Nintendo 3DS folder and copy the name of the folder with lots of gibberish with it. That's your ID0.
Then paste it where your ID0 belongs in http://bruteforcemovable.com/.
Then it says a friend code you need to register.
Go back to your 3DS (no need of putting your SD card in again) and go to your Friend List. Press "Register Friend", Internet then insert the Friend Code given from http://bruteforcemovable.com/.

Then wait for a while and download your "movable.sed" file and place it into your folder.
Now go to https://bruteforcemovable.com/steelhax/.
There, drag in your movable.sed file, select your console's region and you get a .sav file. This is important, look for it later.

Now, THIS is the real meat.

In your SD root, drag in the boot.3dsx file.
Then extract the Steelhax Installer to your SD root.
Go to the steelhax folder and drag the payload file into it. Rename it to "payload.bin".
Now, delete the "Nintendo 3DS" folder and rename your backup to the same name.
Enter it. Click on the folder with your ID0. Click on the gibberish again. Go to "title". Click on the folder with the most folders in it and search for a folder starting with "000d7".
Click on it. Click on "data" and then drag the .sav data you downloaded into the data folder to overwrite it.
Now reinsert the SD card into your 3DS, launch Steel Driver. If you see flashing colors on the bottom screen, it means "HOORAY!"

You did it, good job! Now for CFW (optional but useful).

Luma3DS:

Please check this website out on using Frogminer: https://3ds.eiphax.tech/frogminer.html

Voila! Installed! You can confirm you installed by holding Select on boot!

Hope it helped some people. Bye!

There is some room for improvement. PicHaxx is a little easier than Steelhax and has no trouble with an update that mus not be installed.

There still is https://3ds.eiphax.tech/frogminer.html
(not fully updated though)

The older Frogminer method (not on 3ds.hacks.guide anymore) can be useful in some cases – mostly re-installing B9S. These cases are not working Data Management or the complete System Settings failing to load (usually leftover problems after uninstalling B9S).

However @hatoving I think you must remove that Google Drive link (or remove the frogcert.bin from the archive if it's your Google account). There is probably a reason why frogcert.bin is normally only linked to as a magnet link and downloaded by torrent.

Thanks for the reminder!

I followed perfectly all the instructions and i had no problems, but when i went to the title folder i saw that there was no folder having a folder starting with 000d7, but there was only one folder called 0015b100 in the folder called 00040000 and every other folders in the title folder had only 1 folder.
What do i do now ?
