They cover games sometimes but they just seem to pick the weirdest games out there to cover

I might be able to write the unicorn thing off as a joke but the rest look like classic sponsored advertising/advertorials/native advertising of less than easy to market items (be it by regulations or perception, the US in particular having a massive stick up its arse with gambling compared to the rest of the English speaking world save perhaps Canada which I don't know much about here) that many a website or channel, especially when you in turn don't attract the fanciest advertisers (lower reach, content of the site being piracy... adjacent), get approached with. I can't be bothered to figure out where they are based to see if they should have some kind of note that such a thing is such a thing, or indeed if they have one outside those screenshots (many newspapers doing this will put it right at the end as it means you have already read it by that point).

Not sure where I land in such discussions. Would be better to not do it, however the monies they often pony up are considerable* (way more than the going rate for safe nonsense that google ads will run, assuming you can even get on it -- again piracy adjacent and if you thought their approach with youtube was heavy handed then in many ways you ain't seen anything yet, though to call it youtube regs and then some would be a bit misleading as it is not the same even if they go to the same parties) and you may in turn feel your audience is sensible enough to skip it.

*I am not sure what would have been offered here as these things often use wildly varying metrics (though current reach is a big thing), and will still attempt to drive the price down or exploit ignorance in their shi advertising partners.

To answer the question of the title without any context from the thread then maxconsole is one of the big English speaking "openly friendly to aspects of piracy" websites/forums still standing (the other two mainly being here and dcemu, there were a few more console specific ones over the years but they have also dropped off** or refocused in both recent and more distant time). They have had more than their fair share of ups and downs, and dramas and traumas over the years as well.

**I just did the rounds of qj.net, wololo and a few others... yeah. Quite what I make of the state of things I don't know, mainly as I don't do discord or reddit and everybody tells me they are where things are at (even if every time I purposely made the effort to go to reddit and search what little there was tended to be bad information, I certainly never landed on it from a general internet search until my -site: list was so long I got accused of being a robot. Going further what I know of reddit's design is purposely counter intuitive to the way hacking tends to play out -- almost reminds me of when people would post the same FAQ to usenet for those places with lower retention. As for Discord then while I have never bothered to properly investigate then mostly seems to be a combination of IRC for the piracy element and semi private messages for hacking groups, and one should always remember there that you are playing on someone else's proprietary servers who have demonstrated they are more than willing to play the censor and with this gaming store lark have a vested financial interest against you). Though at the same time homebrew and console hacking ain't what it once was as apparently we are all supposed to have phones these days and barring certain emulations aspects they do all that homebrew once did for us.

What motherfucking cocksucking cunt said we can't swear here :rofl2:. That is discrimination against my rights to be Scottish :)
Hey the right to use profanity that makes Americans come over all unnecessary is not just one of those weird Scottish rules that lawyers have to do a conversion course to handle but one the whole of the UK enjoys.
