I would like to know wth has changed my 5.5.1E WiiU Browser work fine when clicking New Tab/Start Page.

5.5.3E Appears to have broken Start Page but yet still works.

But its quite risky because of the browser bricking situation.... we need more exploits.

EDIT: Tried this and the first time worked but the guide is not very well explained... when it says if you want the hack to run mocha directly from quick menu... he mentions to replace the files inside homebrew_launcher but he fails to mention that you also have to RENAME the mocha.elf to homebrew_launcher.elf in order for the exploit to load MOCHA instead of the HBL when clicking on the web browser icon. Other than that i think this very well could be the alternative to that people that doesnt want to spend money on a DS game to install haxchi!

The risk is other thing that's not well explained, the risk is just if you fuck up the ftpiiueverywhere process you will break the browser. Just make sure that the index.html file was copied to the Wii U and double or triple check is in there and you will be fine.


EDIT:

This worked the first few tries with two different consoles, i tried to restore previous index and now it just wont work, getting error 112-1037 and Mii shaking his head everytime i open the default page. No luck.

i reboot my wiiu and when i launch my brower the Mocha CFW start alone !!!!
All seems good for me

I think once you get the error 112- that ends in 37.. you're basically screwed. I get that error over and over again even with the original index now in the default page. Something went wrong and you wont be able to perform this hack i think. I will try to undo my RegionHax and try to update to 5.5.4

Yeah unfortunately it seems to be the case I have tryed pretty much everything checking file permissions etc but nothing seems to rectify it New Tab Start Pages are just broke.

What i'm going to try now is to transfer ALL of the browser files from my other Wii U to the broken one and see if that fixes the Default Page. Will let you know what happens

F**k braver than me I have a 5.5.1E HaxChi and was contemplating the same but fear off losing Browser then got no exploit at all.

Put 5.5.1E Browser on 5.5.3.E.

Although perhaps a test through Cemu may be worth something.

Is this actually safer than CBHC if you have haxchi? I never installed CBHC because dumb children could just wipe the user account or something and brick my Wii U. But if I use this and already have haxchi it's not even a problem if the browser gets screwed over, maybe I could even reinstall the browser. Also how convenient is this compared to just Haxchi?

Haxchi is SAFER than anything. Cold Boot Haxchi is the dangerous one.

Pity could not transfer User and HaxChi DS Game. Unfortunately the orher two WiiUs dont have HaxChi so only one way in and if I mess up Browser then screwed.

Is basically the same, enable quick boot and launch the DS game everytime you want to boot to CFW, this hack is actually slower than Haxchi but the point is to have something similar to Haxchi but for FREE

Thanks, I guess it doesn't make sense for me then. Does anyone know if Quick Boot is a bad idea if you keep removing the Wii U from the electrical socket? Electricity here is terrible and I need to unplug stuff that's not being used.

I dont see why it would be a problem, just DONT UNPLUGG IT when the light is ORANGE. Because is writing information to the GamePad.

Well that is weird it appears to be working via CEMU it atleast is trying to load the script. Startpage new tabs too all good FS.

Unfortunately, even transferring all the files from my normal and working Wii U wont do anything, i still get the shaking head Mii with the error: 112-1037

This hack is useless and breaks something that i dont even know what is xD

BUT it gave me idea to use to launch Mocha directly instead of HBL and have hack with only 2 steps,

1.QuickMenu
2.Select WebBrowser
3.Click on HAXX
4.Profit.
