Hardware Is swapping the shell housing on a Nintendo Switch worth it?

Greetings there tempers!
I haven't been around for quite some time, and likely won't stick around as much because of college stuff going on.
The thing is. If you're a Nintendo switch owner you already should be aware of how bad the plastic and overall build quality of the handheld + joycons is.
I really was expecting this to last more but oh well, the plastic quality has degraded already. I don't know why, doesn't matter how hard I wipe and clean it it still feels greasy and slippery. It failed to retain its nice-looking matte finish..

I ordered some new replacement parts (back and front housing + the kickstand power buttons, volume buttons, screws and other things.)
My question is, is doing a shell swap worth it, given that my concerns are solely aesthetic and appearance of my switch. Is it hard to swap the parts?
Do I need to take the LCD out when swapping parts?
Is the front plate glued with adhesive?

Its worth it if you care about the appearance of your switch over its warranty. I have swapped 2 of my Switch's case shells and in my experience the 1st time was very challenging as I stripped a screw on the backplate. The 2nd time doing this was fairly easy I made 0 mistakes. If anything the hardest part are the joycons.

Just dont pull on the ribbon cables and keep all screws laid out in order that you took them out and you'll be fine.

If your switch is not broken inside, anything other dont matters for me. So its your choice.

replacing the back shell of the switch as well as the back shells of the joycons are very easy to do.... swapping out the front shells are much more difficult

I've done a shell swap. The hardest part will be removing the digitizer and screen without damaging them. The front housing is screwed into the center metal housing from behind the digitizer. You'll also want to get replacement adhesive for the digitizer as it's very hard to get it off cleanly enough to reuse.

Replacing the joy con completely is difficult. The backplate itself is easy. It's up to you but don't do it if you never did unscrew shitty screws. The screws on the switch totally suck. If you unscrew them wrong they are dead and you can't open it easily anymore. It's like they put in wax screws. Totally bad quality.

Figured as much.
I already ordered a digitiser but I can't seem to find adhesive for it.

Yeah theres more than just replacing the shell you need to be alert when caring the insides of the joycons and the backlplate. Do not stick anything metal or you'll damage the battery like my noobness did on my first attempt I killed my right joycon as a result use a toothpick or a plastic tool to get the battery out. The SD reader on the back of the switch needs to be seated firmly or your SD card wont be read. I don't think you need to remove the screen at all if you are just replacing the joycon/backplate shells

If you're upgrading get these - extreme rate is the brand. Great quality, feels much more expensive... The texture is soft to the touch and the D pad is quite nice.

That's kinda nice but do they have black or dark grey colours in stock.
