Homebrew Is it possible to use the Wii U Gamepad or Pro Controller on Wiiflow via vWii?

Hello everybody. I've recently hacked the vWii side of my Wii U so I could use Wiiflow and run backups from the microSD. Before that I was using VC Injects, which worked fine but were a nuisance to set up and install and occupied a ton of space in my USB memory. Now, running games from the SD card, things couldn't be better.

However, there are some things which I could do with the Wii VC Injects that I'm not sure I'm able to do now that I'm using Wiiflow. One, for instance, is using the Wii U Gamepad as a Wii Classic Controller. I know I could do this on the Wii VC Injects because I did it - I set up a custom installation of Mario Kart Wii where I could both use the Gamepad as a Wii Classic Controller and the Wiimotes as well, but I had to do it by hand. Using a different example altogether, I know the official Wii U VC release of Xenoblade Chronicles patched the game so you could play it either with the Wii Remotes + Nunchuck but also with the Gamepad as a Classic Controller, something which I believe wasn't possible if you only had the disc version of the game.

So, to keep things short: is there any way to use the Gamepad as a Classic Controller on homebrew such as Wiiflow or any other SD card .wbfs loader? Be it via the homebrew itself, by patching the .wbfs files, or something else altogether? I know I can do it if I use custom VC injects, but as I've said, space in my USB memory is very limited; so if I could use it via the vWii homebrews, however that is, it would be great help. I know both the Wii U Gamepad and the Pro Controller work on nintendont, so I wonder if they can work on other homebrew as well!

Your best bet is probably just to use a VC inject to open WiiFlow and go from there. It should take less space than a traditional game would. However, I can't remember if homebrew needed to be patched to support this or not..

There currently is no homebrew that will patch Wii games to use the faster speed, gamepad support, and other features in Wii VC mode (unlike Nintendont for GC games).
If you return to menu from the loader in Wii VC mode, you will just get sent to the Wii U menu instead.

Currently, you will need to make a new inject for each individual game if you want to use the Wii VC mode for Wii games.

I see. I guess I'll resort to installing as patched Wii VC games any games I'd rather use the Gamepad while playing the rest on Wiiflow.

I have another question, though. About .wads, say, like WiiWare games - is there any way to load them directly on some of these apps instead of having to install them? I heard something about not being such a good idea installing .wads to vWii, so I'm being cautious.

You have to install them to load them!

Last I remember, that was due to possible corrupted banner bricks that would happen in vWii but not on the normal Wii.. It'll only happen on homebrew apps (but the only ones you'd install are forwarders anyways) - just have to be careful about what you install and make sure it is for the vWii, unless it is WiiWare in which case Nintendo had banners down.
