Checkpoint does not leave traces. I've used EdiZon and Checkpoint for over a year and I'm still not banned

interesting tutorial. I don't own a hacked system. however, my switch is hackable (already checked serial number). anyway, I didn't realize backing up saves and injecting them was so complicated. one question I have, one that's been bugging me, is what do you do if you have a different region save. as I'm sure you're aware, there's usually only one (sometimes two) dumps of a game on the internet, so you may have no choice but to use a different region game. I know that the game won't pick it up (tried with poi).

I can't guarantee Checkpoint or Edizon does or doesn't leave traces, but I can almost guarantee that going online on a SysNAND dirtied by Atmosphere or SX OS would. Atmosphere mounts system processes, so I'm certain that would be logged. I actually made a mistake and debugged a game while online via LFS and Noexs on Atmosphere a while back, and I'm still online, but I'm waiting for the ban from that any moment now. There are some people on the Ban hub that used Checkpoint and got banned, but many more that used it and didn't get banned. Perhaps it was from Checkpoint, perhaps from a dirty NAND or something else. Who knows?
Booting Atmosphere or SXOS on SysNAND alone without loading any homebrew apps does not do anything. The tutorial is long for something very simple if you load EdiZon or Checkpoint. Booting to Atmosphere does not log anything and neither does SXOS. All this information is false. Keeping this information up and misleading everyone will just make everyone more scared and avoid stuff. People have loaded other homebrew apps that must've left traces that or have installed NSP which are 100% red flags. Trust and believe when I say loading CFW just to restore and backup save data with EdiZon/Checkpoint is the safest thing you can do. At least from my experience with two switches, I haven't been banned. Currently modifying my Pokemon shield save data and cloning pokemons for others to enjoy

@CrisFTW So are you saying I can boot into CFW on my sysnand, inject my saves and then nothing will happen?
Thats correct. I wouldn't lead anyone to a ban if I haven't been banned myself. People tell me Nintendo do it in waves but honestly I've done this for a year and I'm still rocking no ban, eshop access and online play. Just don't stay on CFW. Inject save and boot back to OFW. If you dont wanna believe a word I say, it's fine. The video tutorial on how to waste more of your irl time is up for anyone to do

Nice tutorial, I recently used this procedure too but I had to rename some files because the same game had different save names in the EmuNAND

So are you saying that if I follow this guide on running atmosphere on sysnand, and all I do is load up edizon to dump/inject a save with the switch on airplane mode and then reboot the switch I most likely won't get banned? I want to do what you are doing and run pkhex on sword/shield.

Nintendo haven't been actively banning people in like a year though so that means little.
If they have been silently flagging people and waiting for the right moment to strike... There's no better time than the release of a huge game like Pokemon Sword/Shield. They originally started banning people on 3DS when Sun/Moon was leaked, having never historically banned people before save for some people that were cheating in Splatoon. *edit: Splatoon 1 not 2.

We shall wait and see. I'm only hacking pokemon shield just to test their banning system

Does it work the other way?
sysNand to emuNand and back to sysNand?

I have a legit Pokemon game that I play online but I want to use pkHex to add the missing starters, version exclusive and evolve my Pokemon that evolves from trading to my sysNand save.

I hate having to ask or demand for things. Nobody is this kind or want to focus it's time on you.

But then again I have a Switch lite and to this day it's not hackable.

I'm just asking because this might be the first thing I'll do once I hack my Switch or get a hackable Switch.

I restored saves for Diablo III and Skyforce Reloaded just fine on sysNAND (using AMS + Checkpoint).
I won't recommend doing that regularly though. Just did this once to inject my old NAND dump saves after my Switch was stolen and I bought a new one. Apart from backing saves up which should leave no trace, I don't plan to restore any more.

what this makes no sense? if you've dirtied your Sysnand by using the homebrew saving apps your in risk of a ban
