There was some change on vba last month https://github.com/libretro/vba-next/commits/master
I won't test gba emulators on vita since I'm using my 3ds to do that (perfect semi hardware emulation) since FF6A with music patch is nowhere to be playable on vita emulators.
But if you feel like a specific version of vba core is better than others, you can always tell me the commit (numbers next to core information) and I'll make a custom version of up to date retroarch like I'm already doing with fbalpha.

Updated build with latest sdk (gcc9.1) : https://1fichier.com/?unl7blwmopc7cgxzvguk
data : https://1fichier.com/?9wntb99sc6n2d5ce4s24
What's the difference between this version and the official one?

Is it me, or did the Performance of the FBA Cores drop somewhat? Ran SFA2, and it was struggling to get at full speed. Before, with the same Core/s, it would run perfectly.

Difference with official one is :
- compile with up to date sdk (sometime better, sometime worse)
- fba core is based on a custom version where cps3 is running better
- supergrafx core

I didn't alter the core since you pointed the right one. Are you sure you are using FBAlpha and not FBNeo ? Maybe changes on retroarch UI makes things worse afterall.

Anyone know if the Cheat Search Issue is being looked into? Been going on for a while. Late 1.7.8 (August as far as I know, maybe earlier) to even now (1.7.9). Can't go more than 2-3 Searches in before you are stuck with 9363 Results for Exact (different number for Unknown). Affects the Vita, Switch, and possibly the 3DS Builds. PC and Android Builds work fine.

Edit : same build but with retroarch 1.7.7 UI for testing purpose https://1fichier.com/?um74878vp5efl11i67yo

Thank yiu so much for this update! Still wait for new core added to vita RA like snes9x (without years) or Hatari (atari st) :)

I´m using a very old vesion of Retroarch on my Vita (still on 3.60). It´s safe to update RA to 1.8.0 or is better start over again? Any tutorials?

Is there a possibility to transfer savestates from an older Retroarch Version 0.9 from my RGH Xbox360 to my Vita.Savestates still were in the Romsfolder but to simply copy them in the savestatefolder to the Vita won't work.

Hum, this thread seems deserted, but I'll try anyway:

- Has anyone got the Virtual Boy core (mednafen-vb) to work on the Vita? Every time I load a .vb file, I have a crash: "Data abort Exception" in core file.

- Has anyone got lightgun NES games to work with Vita's touchscreen? There are options for lightgun input in FCUmm core options, but none of them seem to work with the touchscreen.

Don't bother with Virtual Boy on Vita, it's not playable.

Update of my custom retroarch 1.7.7 build, with latest gpsp change for vita
https://github.com/libretro/gpsp/commits/master

Big up in speed, tested with FF6a, mario kart and metroid and works fullspeed !

https://1fichier.com/?824tavl7509sq75j4hwk

People who wants official version can get last nightly that should have the latest gpsp
I'm sorry for asking but I've seen a couple of posts of your custom RA build but I was never sure of what makes it different. I'm interested in trying it but I want to know what's different.

Is it me but gba games don't seem to save with gpsp?
I am playing donkey Kong County 3 but have to start from scratch every time.
If not... What to do for the right setup?

Oh... I am on enso 3.65

is this the full zip of retroarch or just gpsp vpk?
i would like to have only single vpk of gpsp if possible (so that i can launch it directly from home menu of vita without launching retroarch and loading core etc.

This happens for me too. The only solution I can find is pressing L, R, Start and Select together to open the Retroarch menu and then choosing "close content" to exit the game (instead of using the Vita home button to close the game and Retroarch simultaneously). Closing the game this way copies the current state of the game's SRAM saves to your Vita's storage so it isn't lost when you next start the game. There is an option which should fix this in Retroarch (the one that sets the automatic SRAM save period) but it doesn't seem to work with the gpsp core.
