Team-Xecuter updated their SX Installer and SX Server apps today!

TX is back today with another great update, it seems their SX Installer now v3.01 finally fixes the USB HDD bug, and ontop they added two new cool features, SMB (Samba) file sharing support, so you can directly now install your NSP/NSZ from your PC, and even copy XCI's from your PC to your USB HDD or Micro SD-Card, plus it seems 'Cloud Saves' now also work, even backup/restore to gdrive!

Check out the changelogs below:
SX Installer v3.01 Changelog:
  • Fixed USB HDD support.
  • Fixed Title Key dumping.
  • Improved rendering performance.
  • Added SMB/Windows File Share support.
  • Added ability to re-arrange locations.
  • Added support for "blocked" NSZ installation.
  • Automatically resets required version upon install / uninstall.
  • Input is now accepted from all controllers, not just player one.
  • Added shutdown screen so you can safely exit the application from title mode.
  • Blocked the installation of all modified DLC and Updates with no way to bypass.
  • Fixed bug that allowed users to install 9.0 encrypted titles on lower firmwares.
  • Included auto-install-forwarder and blocked applet mode due to memory constraints.
  • Disabled remembering "standard crypto" option to prevent users from leaving that enabled.
SX Server v1.2 Changelog:
  • Added support for XCI, XCZ, and NSZ
  • Added gdrive support to both SX Server and SX Installer
As usual, you can find the latest versions on their SX Portal Downloads page, and don't forgot they have wonderful TX Community and a growing TX Discord server.

Does the "Fixed USB HDD support" means now every USB pen drive will be read by the switch?

I have a 32GB USB 3.0 pen drive that isn't detected by SX OS while my friend super slow, super old crap 16GB usb 2.0 of like 6MB\s crap works with the switch...

Nice ... again. Anyway that the homebrew part of the SXOS menu could be loaded first (ie Before xcis are scanned). Using the SX Autoloader now so obviously scanning for xcis (to load them) is obsolete BUT still having to wait 3 mins for all my xcis to scan before I can access the homebrew menu is a bit of a pain. Still ... great work.

OH, and the HDD fix not working great for me. It scans the External Drive ok . . . but only lets me access things on the root. For eg ... ive got an xci folder and an nsp one on the root. Clicking the folders results in the screen going grey. Cant actually access the contents of the folders.

OH, and it would be nice to be able to launch a game from SX menu while the other games are still scanning. If you try and launch a game at start of the list 95% of the time it goes back to home screen without loading the game icon. Usually have to wait till EVERY game is scanned before you can load one.

I tried to update to this version from inside 3.00 using the homebrew store, and my switch crashed as soon as I hit install. Anybody else have this issue. I had to manually extract this new version onto my sd card.

I'm on sxos 2.9.2 and exfat sd card. I also have tinfoil installed but don't see how this could be related.

yeah, but just copying from your pc can actually be faster than that
If you have all on your pc yes, but a lot of people have a centralized NAS (mine is 9TB) where all is stored. Copying a game directly from switch for me is faster than power up a pc, extract sd card, copy file, reinsert sd card and reboot the switch. Obviously if I have to copy 250+ GB one time pc will be faster.

I thought we weren't supposed to link to SX OS downloads because it includes copywritten keys? But I guess if garyopa does it it's ok...
