"Latest" nighly on buildbot isn't as up-to-date as the beta posted in this thread. Soul calibur is still a mess for example.

The soul calibur fix is still a work in progress as it breaks other games, so it won’t be on the nightly until then. It fixes SC, and Sonic Adventure 2, but breaks MK Gold. So the developers still working that out.

Nup, Sega Enterprises screen, then Retroarch just crashes out. Works fine in standalone Reicast though (albeit with texture issues.

This is the PAL release, JP version plays fine. PAL version also works in Lakka without issue.

There's clearly something wrong with your setup, in that instance, and has nothing to do with Flycast. Also doesn't matter if it works under other emulators, for the record; we only care about what works under RetroArch or not.

And on HorizonArch, not on LakkArch/Ubuntu-L4T and/or LineageOS.

@Shaneus You have the latest build of the Flycast core? The one that "fixes" the graphical problems SC1 had for some people while it apparently doesn't for others? (I personally haven't had issues with SC1 after trying it out, though that girl that keeps telling me she's gonna give me a ride seems to have had another setback that will delay her arrival even more after this update ) Because it may have broken compatibility for some games while fixing things for the update's target games.

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at. Under Retroarch on HOS only the Japanese ROM works, not the PAL one.

@Silent_Gunner That version's never worked, at least the PAL one. I've tried different builds of the Flycast core and it's always been busted :/ Even between chd and bin/cue, same deal.

Yes I have bios and where do I put Dolphin Blue in ? DC folder and make a folder Dolphin Blue and put zip in it along with bios and you are all set to run on Flycast ?

Maybe the reason you're running into this issue is because you're not using the testing Flycast core from a week or so ago? Until those fixes are merged, it only works using that.

Definitely using the latest core that m4xw has compiled, and even tried a fresh Retroarch download (with the new core and redumped BIOS) and zero config files, both the USA image (as GDI) and PAL (as CHD) fail at the same point. Unless amongst all the builds he's made I've not used that specific one that worked and it's broken in the latest.

That version is in this very thread. And for the record, Libretro's buildbot != m4xw.

The fixes aren't merged yet, is all. It's the same issue alongside the 'current' SoulCalibur/PSO/SA2's vertex explosions.

Don't think I ever said I'm using the the core from the latest build or any build from this thread while doing this testing. Using the one m4xw compiled and posted in the RetroNX discord (via Patreon).

Anyway, I've posted the crash logs into said discord channelcha it's an issue that doesn't need to be mentioned here again until it's been looked at and fixed.

I would really love to play that game again. The only working option, however, looks terrible.

Mupen64 -> About 20 FPS even with OC (not playable)
Flycast -> 13-17 FPS (not playable)
PSX Emulator -> full speed (works fine, but has the worst Resolution of all versions. and looks terrible on my screen)

I really hope, it will be possible to run that game on Flycast smoothly with 30 fps

I haven't tried it myself, but it's weird that RE2 runs that slow when RE Code Veronica runs perfectly. Have you tried with a different region? (Europe version instead of US, etc)

I've only tried the US-Version so far.

Resident Evil 3 runs also without any issues btw. it`s just RE2 which doesnt work properly
