Is that so? What happened? Did I miss some gossip? :D
@blawar removed the DRM that forced the requirement of the Atmosphere fork. This is the second time he has done this, so for all we know, the DRM will be back the next time there's an update to Tinfoil.

One of the reasons the DRM was removed this time though is because the increased memory requirements stemming from the use of NSZ files makes the desire for Applet Mode compatibility moot. In other words, blawar wanted people to be able to run Tinfoil in Applet Mode on Atmosphere, even though nobody cared about it, but now Applet Mode is even more irrelevant than it already was.

you say that, yet 77% of my users were using applet mode. I know it may be hard to believe, but most people are not you

I don't doubt that 77% of users were using Applet Mode. I'm saying Applet Mode is inferior. Using something out of habit and/or ignorance isn't the same thing as caring about something.

Any way to disable the Applet Mode in tinfoil 5.10 or we are forced to accept/use it?

I take it as no way to disable it as my question is disabling & Not of "don't have to use"
I'm not sure what you're asking. Applet Mode is only used if you run the homebrew launcher through something like the photo album app. I'm telling you that you don't have to do this. In fact, because of new memory needs, using Applet Mode probably won't work well, if at all.

If you want to use Tinfoil and/or HBG, you should use title redirect, using a game or forwarder instead of the photo album.

I'm having issues with the battery indicator.
You see, I was copying the latest Atmos files to the SD, when the file transfer cancelled and I didn't know some files were not updated.

So, I started noticing jumps and drops in battery percentage.
I updated the files properly now, and so far no more disparities in percentages.

However, now my Switch is at 42%, and I am getting the dead battery symbol.
What can I do to restore the battery icon so it marks the proper battery percentage?
@SciresM or if any of you guys know, it'd be greatly appreciated. Even if I leave the Switch charging up to 100%, it still kills power at around 40~%.

Since hekate has the battery fix built in for ages now (you did use hekate to boot, right?) if really might be a hardware issue.
So unfortunately you might end up having to do this:

(unless someone more qualified knows a more advanced answer to what the cause could be)

CTCaer has been helping them on discord. It’s an issue with the battery being seen as a higher capacity than it actually is.

Yeah I forgot to follow up on it in here :P
Sorry.

Yes, I've been back and forth in Discord. CTCaer has been of great help to follow suit with this issue since Friday I believe.
It's been a lot of testing, but I have managed to get the battery in what seems to be a stable state.
I still have more testing to do (like 2 more full discharges and charges with full gameplay), so it's still not finished, but I do hope this is the last part of the fix.

Btw @lordelan, from the video, I believe you only need to get to the point where they disconnect the battery from the mother board, no need to actually lift it up nor pry it up at all.

Yep, if you continue to have issues with the battery you can just try disconnecting it, wait a few time, you can press power button with the battery disconnected which will probably deplete all the capacitors almost instantaneously, but better wait a few seconds, re-attach the battery and do a few full cycles from the console shutting down with low battery to fully charged so it learns again the battery condition...

There's always the possibility that the battery is bad, but usually I think when the battery is bad the console tends to either not fully charge it or never fast charge so if it's taking ages and ages for it to charge the battery is probably bad unless it's the charger\cables\port fault too... Also if the battery keeps discharging by it self after a few cycles it's probably a bad battery too since a good Li-ion the discharge rate with the device OFF should be very low, if the voltage drops fast at storage it means the battery is kaput as a energy storage...
