Hey,
I've "hacked" my Wii in the last time, but I have a problem. If I start USB Loader GX, the games are shown. The Thumbnail, if I click on them, also. But when I start the game, there is a blackscreen and it takes me back to the Wii Menu. I followed the steps of this video "2019 Wii Softmod Guide - Play Games from HDD - P3nce" on Youtube (Sorry that I wrote the title in there, but it's not allowed to post links..), but the games aren't work. My Wii is running on the newest Software with 4.3E and I used an Intenso 2gb SD Card and a Wester Digital 1TB drive. You can see some Systemchecks in the attachement.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks,
Yannik

Hello,

your cios are old, you have to reinstall them correctly:

either like this ==>

249 base 57 version 8 final
250 base 56 version 8 final
251 base 58 final version 8

OR :
249 base 57 version 10 beta 52
250 base 56 version 10 beta52
251 base 58 version 10beta 52
With this guide ==>https://wii.guide/cios

Or with Modmii from XFlak ==>https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/

usb loader gx ==> https://sourceforge.net/projects/usbloadergx/

The external hard drive must be in fat 32.

Then repost a new syscheck report, for control

Okay I did everything you said, but there isn't a change. Here are the pictures of my new systemcheck.

You did not do what was said. But to be fair, it was communicated in a complicated manner.

Said more simply, use modmii to install recommended cios's. Use modmii's main wizard or syscheck updater wizard in order to generate an easy to follow custom guide to get the job done

Tried it, but there are two problems.

First: I can't install bootmii as boot2

Second: I haven't got one of these games.

Do you have some help for me?

Not all wii's can install bootmii as boot2, but I would hardly call that a show stopper. All wii's can install bootmii as IOS and priiloader and make a nand backup, etc.

You don't need a game to mod your wii, read more carefully. Use wilbrand (or your old homebrew channel) to launch step 1

Hey, I've tried it with your Hackmii Installer and I hope, I did everything right. I've installed bootmii as IOS, but my HDD wasn't recognized. Can you help me? Sorry I'm a little bit hard in this theme. :)

Probability an incompatible HDD. What kind of drive is it? How is it formatted (Ideally it should be FAT32)? And how are you trying to access it (ie via the HBC, or usb loader), be specific, thanks.
Sorry, My HDD is a Western Digital 1TB HDD, It's Formatted in FAT32 and I used the WBFS Manager and the Wii Backup Manager to copy the games to my HDD. I've tried to access to my HDD via HBC and I clicked on USB Loader GX. I hope this information can help.

What I forgot... My HDD worked on my Wii before I reinstalled everything, so it can't be an incompatible HDD I think.

Oh thanks, yes the USB Loader Version was too old. The Loader can read my HDD, but there is always the same problem, as in the beginning. :( If I'll try to open the game on the Configurable USB Loader, it says, that the IOS reload is blocked.. How can I unblock it?

IOS reload blocked is a good thing. You don't want to unblock it

Edit: I just reread your first post and the issue your facing now is not the same thing.

Other than seeing the word "ios reload blocked" I am failing to see a problem. You never described it fully. Are games not loading?

Oh and another comment I'll make is if you had followed ModMii completely as if it were a virgin it would have updated your usb loader for you, not sure what you did to keep your old loader.

I don't know, what i've done. Hopefully the right, but if it were the Right, it would probably work. My Problem is, that if i would like to open the game, there is a blackscreen for a while and after that, I'm back in the Wii Menu. This picture was screenshot is from a little time before the blackscreen came. I think I can't post videos here, right? It would help a lot..

Have u tried loading a different game? Try ripping a new backup and see if that works.

You mentioned using wbfs manager and wii backup manager. Im curious what you did here. In the process you may have corrupted some backups.

Also, you're booting games off of ios250, it should be 249. It won't impact very many games, but a few won't work with the CIOS you have installed to slot 250 (wii sports will work with either 249 or 250 so that's not the issue)

I will try to download another game from the internet, hopefully it will work. How can I use IOS 249 instead of IOS 250?

By default 249 is used. If u delete the USB loader cfg files it will revert back to it. Or delete the loader entirely and copy a fresh install.

You can edit the settings too. For usb loader gx it's right in the app, for cfg USB loader you want to use the configurator for configurable USB loader (for windows)

I've tried it with another game (Super Mario Bros from portalroms), but it hasn't worked… Always the same problem. I used the Wii Backup Manager to import the game. All CFG Files are deleted. I'm not sure what to do, the games wouldn't work and I can't do anything. Is there another reason for the problem?

Hello.:)

Only to get sure your ISO´s/Games are really ok:

- please use an verification Tool for CRC-32 or MD5 Checksum of your Games:
http://esrg.sourceforge.net/utils_win_up/md5sum/

- please compare your Results with the One from here:
For Example New Super Mario Bros. PAL
https://www.gametdb.com/Wii/SMNP01

(The Checksums are on the BOTTOM of the Page).:)

Thank you.:)
