Is there a way to use it with WUP dump of the game? Like, how can you convert WUP to Loadiine, patch, and convert back? I was only able to find guides from loadiine to WUP, but not vice versa.
UPD Used Cdecrypt. But when I try to install it with WUP Installer GX2 it always gives me an error (Mocha CFW is turned on). Anyone can help?
The patch itself should work fine, digital and physical versions of the game are the same. that being said we only ever tested with dumps of our physical versions.
cdecrypt is the only tool I know to convert wup files to loadiine format to apply the patch, after that nuspacker should do the trick.

hi guys, soryy if this has been asked before, i just used the patch, i can see the character ages are 17 like the patched version supposed to be but on the concert scene in shibuys the singer lady still has the censored outfit. is this supposed to happen? doesnt the mod say "- Reverted any censored prerendered Cutscene files. " my patcher verified all files were succesful too

or is this what this part in the OP refer to?

Q: Zipper panties aren't in the game, FIX IT!
A
: No, we won't, here's why: They were never in the Japanese version of the game, and that means, we're never going to be able to fix this, we don't want smart ideas about using ripped videos from YouTube, or editing models, etc. Unless someone finds the developers original files for this outfit and sends them to us, we aren't changing. this.

is the tsubasa MV censored?
you mean this part?

yup, that video is like that in the japanese version too. any video you see of that concert with her wearing more "open" pants is from pre-release.

So I converted my WUP formatted game into loadiine format with CDecrypt and was able to successfully apply the patch. When using nuspacker to convert it back to a WUP installer format, do I have to rearrange the contents of the content folder? After applying the patch my content folder looks like this:

content>Pack>original, pack_000_map.cpk, pack_010_character.cpk...

with "..." representing the rest of the cpk files

Would moving the 'original' folder somewhere else and moving the cpk files out of the 'Pack' folder and into the content folder be the correct steps to take before attempting to convert it to WUP?

the original folder contains a backup of the files, the patcher itself tells you to move the folder elsewhere as it's not necessary to run the game, only to restore your game if you want or to update the patch when we were still releasing updates.

I did in fact move the 'original' folder elsewhere, and I attempted to repack code, content and meta into WUP installer format the way I described. At the end I was able to install the game on my wii u, but after launching the game and hearing the launch music, the game and my wii u froze to a black screen. Either I did in fact patch the game incorrectly, or something went wrong with my conversion into WUP format.

Although the Project Restoration Patcher said my patch was successful using the built in checker, in retrospect I didn't include the patched.md5, unpatched.md5, or Version 1.2 file into the xdelta folder before beginning the application. To your knowledge does not doing so create any problems? (especially since the patcher said it was done correctly despite omitting those three files)

the patched.md5 file is only needed to use the built-in md5 calculator to check if the file were patched correctly.
the unpatched.md5 file can be used to do the same but to check if the game was dumped correctly (at least the files the patcher cares about), but never included that check. you can still use it with any other md5 tool.
the version 1.2 files does absolutely nothing at all other than inform you that you are in possession of the version 1.2 of the patch.
so at the end those files don't influence the outcome of the patching process.

you can try to use loadiine to see if your game is correctly patched or not, but other than that I don't know.

You mean the costumes?
Those I posted are dlc... And now that I remember the hotspring dlc is impossible to get even with the patch, my bad.

But the swimsuits you can actually get are available in chapter 3.

Thanks for the efforts.

I see, I'll definitely redo the entire process and see if I can get a working WUP installable format. Most likely something went wrong when I used nuspacker, although I'm still not sure if I restructured the code folder correctly. After applying the patch do I delete the Pack folder and move the .cpk files back into code? Or do I just leave the folder as is (except moving the original folder) and move it to my sd card for loadiine? I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere so your help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm sure if I can get the patched version working in loadiine format it should convert to WUP, install and launch on my haxchi Wii U with no problems.

I don't know why you are moving files to the code folder at all, all you need to do is move or delete the the original folder inside content/pack and then move everything (read, the folder that contains the code, content and meta folders) to the loadiine folder (or convert it to wup with nuspacker). there is no instruction that says that you need to mess with other files at all.

Yea I knew there wasn't any construction to do so, it's mainly my fault for misunderstanding and assuming how loadiine file paths work, so I apologize. I actually just redid the entire process from scratch and now the game is launching perfectly from my Wii U external hard drive! (Hovering over the Eshop option says Reincarnation ver 1.2). All I have to do now is install the latest software update for the game (assuming there are no conflicts between the patch and update) and I can finally play Tokyo Mirage Sessions with Project Restoration! Thank you so much for this patch and your help, my apologies again if any of my questions were bothersome, Wii U hacking is definitely not my strongest suit haha.

Lol sorry to ask another question, but I just installed the latest software update for TMS. I'm assuming I can't check the version because the 'Reincarnation ver 1.2' text is replacing it, but is this patch compatible with the software updates? I would hate for any problems to occur now that I finally have the patched version on my HDD haha

I didn't even knew the game had an update, sure it didn't when we hacked it and for years after that.

anyway... looking at the update is seems that is only a new executable, it shouldn't affect the patch at all.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
