Hacking SD card suddenly decided to die on me???

Alright guys I’m panicking.
I was installing a pack of games with fbi and then an error popped up. I went to the home menu and it said that no sd card was detected and to remove it. I tried opening the card in my pc but now it doesn’t recognize it. So the sd card is dead.
I STILL HAVE Luma and Rosalina installed in the nand luckily. But I lost every important thing that was in that sd card including FBI. I have a backup empty 64gbs card up my sleeve but I don’t know how or where to get everything back! I don’t even know where to start.

If the card is dead you're not getting it back. This is why backing things up is important.

I think my Nintendo switch killed two SanDisk micro SD cards.I woke up and saw that my Nintendo switch can't read the micro SD.

The third SD card didn't die yet. However I would love to buy Samsung 512 micro SD card but I am afraid that it will kill it as well.

Dude, I bought it off Walmart. It’s pretty much real. I’ve been using this card for more than 3 years, and has been performing amazingly. If its gonna die with time, then it does

That stuff is the least of your concern – you just have to download boot.firm, boot.3dsx, and fbi.3dsx again and you're pretty much good to go. Your user data – like save games – is what you should really be worried about.

As with all flash memory it's a case of when, not if it will fail. Same is true for most storage types actually

@Kwyjor : While there is nothing to lose in trying I don't think that will work in this case. That card was merely corrupted, the PC was seeing it and asking to format. In this case the card is not being seen at all.

For starters, do you really need to carry around 512 GB of games with you at all times? Even if you filled it to capacity, I reckon you would never even look at 90% of it.

Secondly, unless you're paying an absolutely ridiculous amount of money for that card, it's probably fake. (I almost said you would probably pay less for another 3DS, but checking again, maybe they're not quite that expensive.)

No they were not fake cards, I bought one from Fnac in Paris and the other one from a very good electronic shop.

I use Samsung 512 GB SD card in my hacked switch and it is only 189 gb free now lol. My hacked switch didn't kill any SD cards yet. However the clean system killed two.

I know that I won't fill it all the way now with paid games but it would be nice when it is full of great digital games ready to be played.

Did you test your card to validate that they were indeed genuine? or are you just saying that since you got from a main electronics store?

Well yes hehe it is not from eBay. However the two 128 GB SanDisk micro SD cards had different colours. one had light colors of gray and red the other had darker colours. Both died.

@CJGamerXD, your SD card looks fake as hell. Appearances can be deceiving as even sketchy looking cards may in fact be real. Since yours is 3 years old, you should test its hardware condition with the below advice.

Copy everything off to a computer, quadruple reformat, and then full write + verify with the card empty.
