Hacking NSP to XCI, is there an easy method?

Nsp is better if you dont run sx os.

If you have a shit ton of games, XCI is better. Otherwise you have to constantly install NSP's and uninstall. With XCI you can just drag and drop onto your SD card. So much less hassle.

Not sure why? Worked fine for every NSP I ran.

First off did you install v2.0 as it will not run unless Python and its dependencies are installed correctly.

Second if thats working Open the NSP_2_XCI.bat with notepad++ and add "pause" (without the quotes) above "cls" on line 186. Then copy CMD screen and post it so I can see what it is doing.

It will look like this.

Hi, can you please help me ? I dont know whats going wrong...do i need the missing prod.keys file ? And i also thought its basically the same file as keys.txt, just named differently. I put the prod.keys in the tools\bin folder.
Because i have the keys.txt in the tools folder. I only keep getting a 62kb file too in the output folder.

i have latest keys, but why nscbuilder ? isnt it easier with nsp 2 xci batch ?

thanks very much mate, i could convert an nsp successfully with nscbuilder. i just cant test it right now if it works with sx os. that will have to wait untill tomorrow. if i understood right, nscb can merge game and update nsp´s to one singe xci ? any tips for that, or what i should care attention to ?

It's very simple just double click the program and it'll ask if you want single file or multi file, choose multi it'll tell you then to drag each file on the program, hit enter each time. Proceed from there just following the instructions of the program.

Making yourself permanently offline might as well be a self ban.

The most thing that can happen is me being flagged. I wont be INSTANTLY banned if that's what you're thinking. And to me it's not a self ban because i have ZERO interest in anything online related on the switch, the service is useless to me. Regardless, having .NSP does not equal instant ban. You MIGHT get banned when the next ban wave hits and who knows when THAT is coming. and who knows, when the next wave hits, the people using .XCI might get banned too, no way of knowing right now. Not to mention that if you're using .XCI you're kind of limited to the base game. Meaning no updates and no DLC

Nsp is gonna be an instant ban. I was offline since I used cfw, installed like three .nsp and the first time I connected online, I was banned in minutes. If you wait it out people might come up with a solution but who knows, I guarantee if you connect that switch online you'll be instant and superbanned. Also if you didnt know, you can install update and dlc .nsp and use the .xci as the base game. Usually the updates and dlc are only a fraction of the size.

If I just got an old switch (for the ability to dump keys) and I intend to run it only for game backup and keys legality, what is the best thing to use for emu on pc? Are all card dumps xci and all downloaded nsp? Plan to regularly update and copy over to pc but don't have my hands on the switch yet so I can't personally test anything yet (giving my cousin who doesn't want to brew an oled, for his 1st gen switch).
