Why are no prominent YouTubers fussing about this, like Doom? Should be big news. They promised offline mode - hold them accountable!

And like Mortal Kombat 11. There was a Trailer I saw the other Day that said "Take your Fight on the Go". Really????? With what Internet???? Notice you can't Start up the Game without some form of ACTIVE Internet (DNS Mod can be used).

Actually, it has been like that for quite a while. I even tried going away without a Connection, but the WiFi was on. Stayed stuck at the "Updating Game Data" Screen.

Bought the physical version, and I'm not sure I ever updated it. If I did, it would be one of the earliest updates. My Switch won't connect to my router, despite every other device working perfectly. It's a hassle having to connect to other WiFi connections, just for Switch updates. And I refuse to buy another router.

I know that after 1.0.2 Update, you will also need a Linked Account.

I have played Asphalt 8 for a long ass time. I kinda hate 9 due to it feeling more like a restrictive pay to win and even fucking play game. 8 was purely offline or online. Just play the game and not have to worry about 'gas' or some micro-transaction bs, even though those were still there; but it wasn't pay to play.

This game even on Switch is fun yet frustrating. Do they expect me to turn on my hotspot just to spend a few races on my switch, because I can easily use the joycons? And not waste my phone battery.

Guess I'm not missing much huh? Got bothered by the whole thing and decided to play the Android version. Even though my phone meets the requirements, it isn't whitelisted for some reason. For something free, they really go out of their way to make it difficult to play. Would have preferred paying for full version without microtransactions. We already have enough Android shovelware ports on Switch.

I have 2 Switches. I have this Game on my Legit System, and I am not able to run it if away from Internet????? If the "Argument" is for Saving via the Cloud, that is what the Switch's Save Data Cloud is for.

13 Races are Required to get Multiplayer (Split Screen) Enabled. But what if I am the only one playing the damn thing????????????????
23 Races are Required for Quick Race, to be able to Play Offline

to prevent pirating pokemon sw/sh they would use an always on connection (I doubt it though) cause banned switches (mainly piracy related) cant connect to nintendo they cant play gen 8 (again a dumb idea) worst they'll probably do is force an online connection (for ban verification) to even do local battle/trades (simmilar to super mario maker 2)

We can make a petition on Change.org to persuade Gameloft to enable offline mode without all that gimmicks.

Let your favorite YouTubers know, so maybe they can raise awareness, like they did with DOOM. So far, nobody is talking about Asphalt 9, except on these message boards. All it takes is one big YouTube channel, and others will follow.
