Hi,

Is there a dumbproof tool (with an easy to use GUI) to create one's own packs in XCI or SNP format from existing XCI or NSP files (ie to create a bundle that holds the game, the updates, the DLCs...) ?
Side question: When updating a game, does the latest update include previous updates or do you have to include all of them?
While I am at it, if such a tool exists, does it require keys or god knows what to work, and can one create the bundle to work with lower firmwares ?

Thanks.

without downloading these scripts what do they provide that isn't already very easy to set up in NSC_Builder? i guess that the keys file is useful, especially if it has xci_header_key along with 8.1 key that is apparently has.

julesontheroad really makes some of the very best software.

Hi,

I downloaded NSC Builder (NSB_091bx64) and the presets from -snip-

I still fail to understand how to pack an xci file and its updates (in nsp) into one big xci file?
What do I have to do from the main menu (see capture) ? I tried different things but have not been able to do anything worth of interest so far.
i also need to make sure I can set the FW to 8.1.0 or something else if needed.

Thanks.

That would be option 2. Then drag one file after the other into the window and confirm with enter. Then start processing. Then you can select whether you want to pack it into a xci or nsp and some other options.

I tried this several times and it is telling me that the files were processed but the NSCB_output folder is empty.
What am I doing wrong ?

Solved! It was a path issue it seems. I copied all files to the root of a hard drive and tried it again successfully. Thanks everyone.

I saw people having issues when using the program on the desktop before in case that was the path you were using.
If you have any other issues posting in the official thread would be greatly appreciated:

Sure will in case anything else happens.
I wasn't running it from Desktop though... more like F:\!Personnal\Nintendo\Nintendo Switch\!Hack\nscbuilder091b

BTW, how can I check what minimum version is required before patching for lower firmwares? Can I patch to whichever I want ?
Thanks

Yes is a little trial and error. The SDK version can be an indication but it may be patchable bellow that if it doesn't make use of those sdk functions.
BTW I will solve a bug later at night in the File-Info function that shows the FW requirements though the Chromium-GUI (Interface.bat) shows you that info too, is a GUI only for file info verification, etc... Needs to have chrome or chromium installed or Chrome portable in ztools like specified in the changelog.

Files that are already in NSP format don't need to be changed, so your question isn't particularly relevant for NSPs, but if you want them named something sensible, you can use Switch Backup Manager to auto-rename them.
