Hacking Lost SXOS after substituting the NAND chip (?)

I had the Switch for a year when I decided to hack it and get SXOS installed. 2 days after doing the process I suddenly get the orange screen. I tried everything I could software wise but nothing worked, so I sent it to maintenance. The guy who fixed it told me that the NAND chip was the problem and he had to substitute it, so now I won't be able to use the same SXOS license to hack it.
My question is: Does that make any sense? Will I need to buy another SXOS license after using the old one for only 2 days?

You can't tranfer license, if it see it as a new unit you need to buy new license if you want to use SX OS.

Okay, I get it.
The weird thing is that not even a factory reset was done apparently, all my NAND games and accounts are still there. I don't get why it would think it's a entirely different console, but I'm a noob anyways. Thank you very much.

because we can transfer the data but the nand will still have a different part ID, and if sxos licence look at that...

I doubt they will do anything, other than telling you to get another license. I recall there had been posts on their forum from users that had their switch repaired or replaced by Nintendo.

How are people getting hardware issues with their switch? Are the first edition switches that susceptible to hardware failures? I haven't had a single issue but threads like this make me afraid my switch is going to give out

sadly no, new nand, new emmc module, means a new sx os license is needed.

Naw the guy who reads it (@garyopa as above) gives no fucks, he just wants your money. He's also happy to take the weekend off while all his customers are bricking. What a nice dude.
