It will be. Flycast is a fork of Reicast due to drama, but most of the ARM64 development is happening on the Flycast fork. In the unlikely even that Reicast is ever updated the Switch port would need to pull most of the improvements from Flycast anyway.

is better than the reicast? reicast at least support about 15 game with good frame rate.

Flycast is reicast on RetroArch after some drama on the r/emulation subreddit went down a couple of months ago. There is still the standalone version of reicast on Windows and Android, of course, but if you're looking for that to come to the Switch, well check the OP's post history on this topic out: https://gbatemp.net/threads/reicast-dreamcast-emulator-for-switch-horizon-alpha.538394/

EDIT: OK, everything sj33 said. I should check for new pages next time...

The Updated Link that was Posted at around 7:30 this morning (PST USA), remember how CAPvsSNK (DC), the Intro Video would stutter when the Announcer announced the name of the Game? Yeah, that is gone and it seems to play Perfectly. Still get the slowdown In-Game for certain Levels, but it is a MUCH better improvement, and a step in the right direction. Wanting to up my Patreon to give @m4xw a Beer.
I am curious though, is there a Game List to show which specific versions of Games are supported? Example, the CapvsSNK from MAME is supported, but is the cvssnk2 from MAME Supported?

EDIT - Except for no Videos showing, only Audio, MKGold runs PERFECTLY!!!!!

CvsSnk2 is a Naomi GD game though so you should need a .chd in a folder. The structure should have the .zip file whereever you keep your roms such as /retroarch/roms, and a folder in that same location called cvs2 with gdl.0008.chd inside the folder. Should work I believe, unless it still has graphical errors but I assume those are fixed. You will also need the bios naomigd.zip in retroarch/cores/system/dc.

Or you could just try the Dreamcast game but it'll take more space.

The question is whether it works without those graphic errors of the deformed characters that the reicast emulator has?

With that being said I doubt this will end any better.

Considering how much better support DC emulation has had over the years compared to the Saturn, I'd say there's more hope for this than the Saturn. It says something when my ODroid XU4 (not the same hardware as the Switch, I know) has an easier time running the libretro version of Reicast/Flycast than the libretro version of Yabause that was apparently added some time in the past few months!
