Reswitched has confirmed that they zero useful tegra exploits that are being kept behind closed doors for anything, and has stated that any Mariko console on 8.1.0 or above fucked in terms of any kind of hacks. Also note that Mariko has a rewritten bootrom so it’s incredibly unlikely that any Erista exploits would affect it.The switch lite is relatively new but in the absence of a physical maintenance mode (Rcm) via rails I’m sure Nintendo has put in place a key combo to get into it. There more than 1 Tegra exploit for the switch out in the wild behind closed doors thats unpatched at the moment but hasn’t been released or used publicly and for good reason the switch lite isn’t really worth burning it on as down the line Nintendo has a switch pro version in the works that would seem as a better target to use it on unless that switch version had massive upgrades that changed the tegra chip to something else and if thats the case
I’m sure they would drop it the same day as it be useless to hold on to it. Don’t expect any hardware mod for the lite at all just firmware exploits at best until after this years new gen consoles get dropped

1. Take everything TX says with a grain of saltreswitched isnt the only people in the sense working on this if you did some reading you would have seen that team executer has already said there more than one bootrom exploit and gave proof of this via a code line on there own site. just cause one team down have anything doesnt mean others dont either it ignorant to think just 1 team has all the answers
Similarly to the lite, the only hacks they’ll probably get for a very long time (if any more show up at all) will be basic homebrew on firmware 8.0.1 and below. The only difference is that it’s a lot easier one of the normal model Marikos on those lower firmwares (with some even being as low as 7.0.1, like mine)How about the "New" Nintendo Switch? (The one that came out about a month ago that has the increased battery life)
Is it pretty improbable that will ever be exploited? Only reason I am asking is because I am considering buying a backup "hackable" Switch now, before they become scarce, because it is inevitable that my current Switch will bite the dust at SOME point.
But if it's possible that the New version could be exploited, I'd probably just hold off.

It really isnt too grim. Just be patient and something will eventually get released. Hacking scenes consistantly talk about how it's going to take twelve decades until a hack is released if ever and etc. Ive been in the PSP, Vita, PS3, PS4 3DS, and now Switch scene. I will tell you that no matter what if you're patient and keep it on the lowest firmware possible for your uses you will be able to hack it eventuallyGotcha, thank you for the info. Really starting to think I should pickup a backup unpatched Switch tablet now before they become too expensive. I didn't know the future was so potentially grim for the newer models
But what if it wasn't patched and we could still hack it? (even though we cant :\)
