Hi guys! I have a switch with 8.1.0 FW and the newest atmosphere with hekate ctcaer payload. I use 90dns for disable Nintendo servers. How can I update safely my switch? If I set the dns automatic for update, can I get ban, or I must boot stock (sysNAND)? In stock (sysNAND) safe play online with legit games? I realy like tetris 99. :D

You'll probably want to use ChoiDujourNX to manually update the device to 9.0.0. Be sure you make a backup of Boot0, Boot1 and rawnand before doing so in case any errors occur. You'll also need to get the 9.0.0 update ncas

Can't link directly to them due to counting as piracy. The only hint I can give is darthsternie. Google will be your friend.

If your SysNAND is clean (no homebrew, unlegit games), then you can play your legit games online. No one has been banned yet for that.

I use only sd card for unlegit Games and homebrew. Should I remove when i use clean sysNAND?

Disable autonogc in the hekate settings. Keep in mind that this will upgrade your gamecard reader firmware an you won't be able to use the gamecard reader on lower firmware than 9.0.0 afterwards.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
