Following on the heels of Gamescom is the Tokyo Game Show, where many Japanese games get trailers and reveals. One of those announcements will be a brand new Resident Evil game, which is being teased as "Project Resistance" by Capcom. On September 9th at 3 pm UTC, we'll get our first look at the latest Resident Evil title, along with some live gameplay onstage a few days later on the 12-15th.

Announcement of an announcement which I am betting will be a CGI film.

I quite like what I have played of 7 thus far. I could stand to see that style of play expanded before another remake similar to what 5 did to 4 (even though 4 was probably a better resident evil, and though it is probably heresy to say for some 5 was a better game than 4 for me). Though if we are going to see a remake, especially in the same line as the recent 2 effort, then 0, 3 or code veronica work for me.


That said for a bet I will go with remastered version of dead aim or Survivor.

Of course if Capcom really wanted to impress me then revisit Dino Crisis in the recent 2 remake engine would also work for me.

Funny, I'm playing RE7 since Sunday and I really like it (near the end) and I also tried RE2R last week (gonna do it seriously soon).
I wouldn't mind a new RE in the style of 7 or 2 Remake tbh. Or a remake of 3 like the 2 (I didn't liked the original RE2 but for what I've played the remake seems great).

Really though, with the ongoing trends, most likely going to be a turn based strategy, card game, or digital noval.

Considering the last 2 has left out coop I would like to see another one, always fun playing with friends and fans but wouldn't mind seeing a complete multiplayer environment with tons of people just trying to survive a zombie apocalypse and a few Nemesis just mad chaos everywhere

Pretty sure will see a Nemesis remake soon their developers have been teasing the idea they just want to get the fans to make a demand for it.

I really enojoyed the way they went since 7, it felt fresh, scarier and it was quite the experience, is one of those games set to be a classic. And let's not talk about RER2, is a trully masterpiece, they managed to retell the original and even expand it improiving every flaw.

I've played 1, 2, and CV to death and I think you're wrong, to be frank. It was a breath of fresh air for a series that was on the edge. Hate it or love it, 7 was absolutely necessary for the series to stay relevant.

There's been rumours that it's a 4v1 game like Dead By Daylight and such others. If that ends up being true, then it's safe to say that I'd have absolutely no hype for this whatsoever.

The rumours allegedly came from ResetEra, so you'd be better off disregarding it entirely imo.

It would make sense to have one player walking around as a Tyrant, with AI enemies all around the map sort of like the Resident Evil 2 Remake.
