Following on the heels of Gamescom is the Tokyo Game Show, where many Japanese games get trailers and reveals. One of those announcements will be a brand new Resident Evil game, which is being teased as "Project Resistance" by Capcom. On September 9th at 3 pm UTC, we'll get our first look at the latest Resident Evil title, along with some live gameplay onstage a few days later on the 12-15th.

The first one is my favorite and that already has a remake, remake remake and a wonderful DS port. Re4 is my second favorite as it is the first one I played growing up. Anything new is just the icing on the cake for me.

I agree. I love the first one the most. In fact the DS port was the first game in the series that I played when it came out. A friend told me about Resident Evil and I got my parents to buy it despite being too young at the time.

I explored the other games up to RE4 later and I enjoyed most of them.

I even created my own fixed version of the unfinished RE1.5 when it leaked, I was almost obsessed with that for a while.

RE5 was bs, Revelations on 3DS was kinda neat but not as good as the old games and the story made no sense. After that I stopped caring...

I'd love to see a remake of 3 like 2, the RE 2 remake was extremely well done and was one of my favorite games in 2019.

But I doubt this will be that just yet, won't expect that until probably after whatever this thing is releases. I do hope they go for something more like RE7, though, the first person view felt really well done there and made a lot more of the game seem "scarier" than the usual over the shoulder stuff.
