There's someone selling a hackable Nintendo switch tablet for $140. They're not willing to budge on the price. It will only come with the tablet, no additional accessories whatsoever. Do you guys think it's worth the price?

if you already have joycons and a dock, it's worth it. I buy them like this a lot, makes it cheaper when you already have half of what you need.

I unfortunately don't have any accessories at all. I sold them all with my last switch that I SX OS'd, but I'm having serious FOMO with the new sword/shield coming out soon. So instead of investing in Destiny Shadowkeep, I think I want to get another Switch, but I also want to make the best financial decision

Why do you need so many Switches?
Because. I fix up broken ones and replace bad touch screens and lcds on most that have problems and then resell the ones that I dont want to keep. Besides, it doesnt hurt to keep a few spares just incase one switch gets banned

If you're not a joy-con fan it's definitely a deal I'd say.

To switch it up :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:
can use it as an android tablet
that's about £115? its not a bad price if it is, but by the time you've bought everything you need you'll probably be close to the price of buying a new switch anyway (unless you go 2nd hand or third party/knock offs)

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your helpful advice and to let you know that I ended up buying a new condition unpatched switch (just the tablet) on 4.1.0 for $140 from a different seller. It literally was in brand new condition, so I'm super excited about that. I just have worry about buying all the accessories now.

Since it's on such a low firmware, I'm currently reading up on how to modify the system without the need of a RCM Jig.

Any further comments or advice would be appreciated. The first time CFW'd a switch was with SX OS, so that was pretty easy in my opinion

go with hekate/atmosphere, set up emunand, and keep sysnand on 4.1, use emunand for updates and stuff. Always keep your sysnand and emunand themes different so you know what one you are on. all you need to do is set up pegascape since patched units can not use RCM methods.

Thanks for the advice. This is an unpatched unit on 4.1.0. I edited my last comment to reflect that

Personally, I would just buy a cheap jig/dongle.

Even if the jig is used the one time (autoRCM), I just don’t think it’s worth the hassle/risk and having the dongle is handy.

Even if you don’t want the dongle, the jigs can be had for a few quid online.

After using the caffeine/pegascape method to back up everything and add CFW, should I update the console or leave it 4.1.0?

keep sysnand on 4.1. set up emummc and keep emummc updated. you can make two emunands if your sd card has enough space for 64GB of emummc one for offline piracy, and the other as online sysnand clone (not sure of ban risk with this).

Would I be able to do local multi-player in certain games with my offline updated emunand? Because with that setup you quoted, it seems I might only be able to do one emunand, and the entire device would have to be offline.
