I’m having an issue. On Edizon, I have tried to use the cheat txt file and it has worked well. However, I’ve recently hit a stump, and for some odd reason, it doesn’t work anymore. I’ve even tried deleting the folder and reapplying it, modifying the txt, and even keeping it at lower than the kb size it shouldn’t be. But some cheats either won’t appear or won’t even work!

Any solutions?

But Catherine is not an "illegal" unit you have to cheat to play with, as you can get her in the game.
I don't get it.
You cannot get her on the Black Eagles if you go all the way with them, same with Cyril, Hilda, Flayn and Seteth - so I'd imagine that it's not exactly ruled out as a possibility.

Can anyone PLEASE help me?!

I can’t get my cheats to appear on Edizon, and even if they do appear, they don’t work for Three Houses when they were fine before!

You cannot get her on the Black Eagles if you go all the way with them, same with Cyril, Hilda, Flayn and Seteth - so I'd imagine that it's not exactly ruled out as a possibility.
You can use the "Is available" and "has joined" flags on the Catherine that already exists to get her in your Black Eagle route save. In the later chapters of the game there will just be 2 Catherine's in battles.

If I use this on a physical copy of my game on my hacked Switch, then try to play that copy on my normal Switch, will I get banned? lol

I'm aware you can add the characters I mentioned via the flags and have done it myself a few times for testing purposes, however I've experienced crashes with all of them at certain points (be it just by having them in the roster at all, or trying to use them during certain fights) that I've been unable to find any real consistent cause for.

Other than the literal cats that wander the Monastery, I think it's at least expected I'd assume the one character in the game whose name could be shortened to Cat would have been suggested.

Wait, you got crashes from adding characters through checking the flags? I've added Edelgard to my GD playthrough right from the beginning and now I'm at Fort Merceus in war phase and I've never got a crash yet. Just make sure you're not using her "lord" class which doesn't have a model outside of BE route (same applies to the other two lords outside of their route) and you should be fine.
I can't speak for the other characters but if even the main house lords who could never be recruited seem to work fine, I find it weird that characters like Catherine could cause crash consider that she's actually playable in 3/4 of the routes.
What are the flags you checked when testing? I only checked "is available" and "has joined".

I checked the same flags, "is available" and "has joined".

So far I've managed three runs of the game (two fully on Maddening, one on Hard up til timeskip, at which point I switched to Maddening) and only on the BE run have I had crashes when adding characters that are usually unavailable on that route for use in a general playthrough. Cyril, Seteth, Flayn and Catherine were the only ones that caused this, but as I'd said previously I have yet to find any real correlation between their crashes with the exception of they're locked out of the route entirely (bar Flayn until you get to the choice), and I had no issue just adding them or any other characters to my party on my BL and Church runs - I can't say for certain that it was just a general "will happen if you pick Black Eagles" problem, but the problems have only persisted when playing Black Eagles on my end when it comes to this issue.

Another note, I have had crashes when experimenting with characters early on with the editor when testing what will and wont cause crashes when editing characters and values (as I've talked about maybe 20 pages back), but those were across all saves and doing very specific things you'd probably not do during a playthrough, as well as being done on saves I'd made backups of and put aside.

I'd like to edit my current playthrough characters to have a 5% movement growth rate. Is there anything particular I need to look out for if I'm doing this in the middle of a playthrough? Or are growth rates not going to be referenced in the save file? Usually they're stored in the actual gamedata but I thought I saw someone mention movement growth rates were supported with the save editor.

The level 10 unique class called "Lord" is shared between Claude, Dimitri and Edel - having more than one of those characters as the "Lord" class at the same time causes a crash since in a regular playthrough, only one of those characters at any time would be the Lord class under normal circumstances. Their level 20 and level 30 unique classes are unique specifically to each character and will not crash the game if you have them as their own unique classes on the same save, it is only the Lord class that we've found has done this so far (and obviously spec'ing people into classes that are NPC only or have mis-matching models will cause crashes as well).

Yeah, pretty much what @officialmurky has said above. Anyway I didn't encounter any crash using Edelgard in GD route. She even appears in lectures in academy phase, but she wouldn't be there for lectures and is not physically in the academy in war phase. She also won't be in your dining & support menu and she can't be used for tournaments. Finally, in academy phase I encountered a minor issue where in story battles, she would be shown as mandatory deployment, but she does not actually appear in the battle deployment map so I haven't been able to use her in any story battles in the academy phase. However she works 100% in optional battles as well as every single story battle so far in war phase.
