Hacking So with the new exploit, no software is needed to install CFW on the latest 3DS firmware?

I'm about to buy a refurb'd New Nintendo 3DS XL from ebay. With the newest banner bomb exploit, I don't even need to use eShop, I can just use my existing hacked O3DS to hack my N3DS? If not I have a GTX 1080TI, I'm assuming I can crack it with that. I'm buying it from Nintendo so I know it will have the latest FW.

Edit: If I understand correctly the new bannerbomb exploit lets me extract the file I need to crack without needing to buy a DSiWare title.
