Just a quick question, which I should've asked ages ago, but what's SaveMii and SaveMiiFrii (I think this one was the modded gc thing)?
Can't they boot disks only if they're auto bootable?

Nope! just plug the SaveMii into the second GC Memory card port, then turn on the Wii, then pop in a disc!

If I don't want to order one, should use this method then do a wad reinstall? I know its a video tut but seems good (although I'm probably not the one to decide)

Eeh, it could, but you also risk:

1. Dying from electric shock

2. hard-bricking the wii

I kinda understand #1 but whats the reason for #2?

if you solder something into the wrong place, or use too much solder, 2 could happen.

Edit: If you can run fake disks that are probably burnt, does it mean you have a modchip?

Not necessarily. Older wii models can play backup discs with just software mods.

I'm not sure because I can't open my wii up (no screwdrive for the dang wii screw)

what letters does the serial number start with? if it's LU or LB, it's most likely the OG Wii. also look for the model number, which is:

RVL-001: The original Wii, from November 2006. S/N prefix is LU or LB.

RVL-101: The second Wii Model, No Gamecube ports. Released in October 2011. S/N Prefix is KU or KB.

RVL-201: Wii Mini. Released around the same time as the Wii U. S/N Prefix is HW.

Sorry for the late reply, its probably the og wii (LK and RVL-001)
Would I need to open my wii up to see if I actually have a modchip or not?

Maybe, but if it's a white Wii, then it's the OG. if it's a RED wii, it's not the OG.

Not necessarily. Sure if it's red it's definitely not "OG", but just because it's white doesn't necessarily mean it is. There are plenty of new white wii's that can't play backup discs or install bootmii as boot2

but isn't there more OG White Wiis than New White Wiis?

OK, so I think what you should do is Use a SaveMii, then run a burninated CD-R with Multi-Mod Manager on it, then install the correct IOSes.

Also how do I burinate a CD-R with a homebrew runner?
Edit: Also, for installing the IOSes, how do I overwrite a slot? Sorry I only have used Wii Mod Lite and don't know how to do it there either.

1: you could use a GC controler, and press all 4 buttons on the D-Pad at the same time (Some modification may be required)

2: if your PC has CD drive, there is a chance it can burn CD's.

OK, try running a KOREAN SSBB Disc, then use Smash Stack to run Multi-Mod Manager.
