@Chary is quite correct. We've decided to take Temper Tantrums to a new direction and add a little narrative to the comic. You'll still see regular comedy skits like the ones you're used to, but this issue marks the beginning of a slightly bigger adventure. Old Tempy and Modern Tempy now have a new friend, expect the trio to go on some wacky adventures going forward.
As some of you have noticed, the team took a little downtime over the last couple of weeks and releases were sparse - that doesn't mean we weren't working, however. So far Temper Tantrums were a little disjointed, so we brainstormed together a way to tie a nice bow around it all. We hope you'll all enjoy it!
Will the narrative comics be done by one artist (i.e. the one who comes up with the story, I'd suppose) with standalone strips being done by other artists, or will the narrative be illustrated by different artists as well?
That part of the comic will not change - there are multiple artists on the team, each with their own unique art style, and we want to put that front and center - it keeps things interesting and fresh. I don't want to divulge too much information though, you'll have to tune in next time to see future issues.
I don't know how people got that impression, the Tempies were talking about the Switch, not their new companion. I like how things immediately veered towards Rule 34 the moment we introduced a female protagonist, we truly are on the Internet. I can't fault our readers though, she is a cutie.
