Hacking Question Installed HBmenu as an .NSP... and now this...

I found a thread that included a LEGAL NSP for the hbmenu.nsp. I installed it with Tinfoil and now it just shows as a white icon with a loading circle on the menu. And when I try to launch it, it "checks software details" and gives me an error. Any ideas? Also how do I delete it? I can't delete it from the home screen as it won't give me options.

Fixed the issue but still need to get rid of the 'corrupted' one, any ideas?

Go into settings software management and it should be right at the bottom and delete it there

Homebrew + exfat = corruption. You could easily end up having your entire sd card corrupted one day and lose everything on it. No downsides to Fat32.

No offense to you personally but I feel like I have to explain this 5 times a day. There should be a sticky but anyway there's been usb install (which involves using your usb type c cable which you need to send payloads) since last year. Multiple programs that can do it Tinfoil, AluminumFoil and GoldLeaf. They bypass the 4 gb limit for Fat32.

Trust me nobody would recommend Fat32 if you couldn't install games larger than 4 gb.

I use exfat for almost year and no issues what so ever. Get a geniun sd card and that solves a fair few issues

Congrats on your success but corruption can happen on legit cards. It's an exfat issue with homebrew. When I first had a switch I had a legit sandisk that corrupted on exfat. Since Fat32 not one issue. Any crash you have on homebrew you could lose everything on your sd card. So I'll just keep recommending people to do it the way that has no corruption and no downsides at all. It's not that hard to learn how to install from usb which is the only thing you have to do with Fat32 to bypass any size limits.
