I dont think there are any official release dates. I think as older stock sells out they will be replaced with the new models.

Yes more efficient processor. There are some other minor changes to the PCB but it mostly has to do with the CPU.

There is a video on YouTube that shows more differences. Off the top of my head... 1) Slightly brighter screen 2) Significantly more accurate color temperature 3) New analog sticks (possibly solves the drifting issues but too early to tell).

Congratulations but I am stick with what I m having. Mine is fine. I cannot care about the battery since I don't bring it outside for fun. It is for inside and move around.

The joycons on this switch revision have been seen before, right down to the exact model number. They aren't that new and they have no obvious protection from drifting. Same open flap to let junk in, same kind of easily scratched contact material.

That is a choice only you can make.

Personally, I picked mine up only for legit online uses since I already have a couple of other Switch that are exploitable.

yeah makes sense. i guess if an exploit comes out, it should be easy to find one until supply gets snapped up again. plus maybe we'll get the rumored Switch Pro with better performance (extremely doubtful, but maybe)

It is amazing. I am currently running Red Dead Redemption 2 @8K@144FPS in handheld mode and it isn't even breaking a sweat.

On a serious note, it is a good upgrade for those with a banned modded switch who just wants something legit to play their purchased games on without fear of a ban.

Not so good for those who decided to try a setup like what yours truly's got here... Not to mention not being able to trade in my current Switch because it was purchased before the random-ass date of July 17th, 2019!

I purchased the original Switch 2 days before the new one hit. Took it back to Walmart and swapped for the newer one. They didn't give me any issues at all.
