Holding L fixes Pokemon Platinum, but is there a way to disable heap shrink without holding L every time?
Nope, there isn't. Wouldn't fit as a visible setting you can manually change.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Yes, I patched it (eu rom) but it doesn't work, it get stucks in logo, in the previous version of ndsbootstrap worked fine... I'll try another rom.
I use a USA ROM, patched using kinder_bueno's xdelta patch.

Why wouldn't it? I think it would fit perfectly in the menu that opens after pressing Y on a game.
I want the users themselves to tell me what game works with it disabled, so that I can add it to the next TWLMenu++ version, where L won't need to be held, as a result.
I'm afraid if I add it as a visible feature, they may not tell me what games work with it disabled.
Plus, there are only some games that work without heap shrink. Most work fine with heap shrink.
What does heap shrink do anyway?
The game's heap is shrunk, in order to fit nds-bootstrap's arm9 code into cached memory.
Disabling heap shrink causes the code to be moved into uncached memory, and thus, makes the code run slightly slower, but not noticeable in most games.

Because RAM limitations.

but so then u could implement just as same the layout like the acekard theme with an ListView like implemented which shows on above screen the acually highlighted/selected Box Cover of the game...

like u can see here:

6XMTcyB

because @ mine on Listview (which i prefer 4 clarity and quick game choosing) ther is nothing shown on the above screen which is sad
it should show the box cover of the game to quick identify it as the game im searching....
game icons are not as meaningful as box covers...

hope u understand & agree and hopefully fix because TWM is awesome thing 2 improve a little :)

also n option to download box covers via twm right on the console (like was possible on the wii in the good old days)
for the games in rom folder would be cool so i don´t have to download and transfer these via pc

I use a USA ROM said:
I found it in post AP-preservation because in DS scene can't find any for eu. There are two patches for two different releases that were added a few months ago, but they don't seem to work at 100% :c

So I've followed the instructions in the first post and have "widescreen" enabled but I don't believe any widescreen patches are taking effect? I am using Super Mario 64 DS Rev 1 but Yoshi seems stretched and it doesn't seem like any patch is being applied. Any procedures I should be following?

Did you enable external modules in Luma config?
Also, did you create "sysmodules" folder in "sd:/luma"?

The top screen wouldn't be in widescreen if I hadn't enabled that setting, right? Just checked and it is checked. Also I didn't create that folder but it is there on the SD card with files inside it.

When did you follow the instructions?
Did you see anything such as "section0.bin"?
