Hacking Most likely a common post, But I need with my card.

Ok so I just bought a DS Lite again, And I have my R4 card with me. However I do not know what firmware to put on it, nor if I need to use the YSmenu thing. It would help a lot if you guys could help me out even in the slightest.

You don't need YSmenu, it's just an alternative option to the official firmware. It has the advantage of not containing a time bomb(pre-determined date the official software is coded to stop working), however it doesn't work properly with any roms that were DSI-enhanced, even on non DSI hardware. The official software doesn't have that problem with the DSi-enhanced roms. Also they usually update the software to extend the time bomb date so since yours is a fairly new one it should be good for at least a few years yet with the official software. The software for the card is at the website printed on the label.

they dont work it leaves me at a white screen

Did you format the card how they say too then put the the contents of the "R4i-V4.0b English" folder onto the root of the SD card?
