Hacking Switch Informations by serial number - READ THE FIRST POST before asking questions

I have just bought a switch with serial XAJ1004132*****

It seems like it might be patched from what i have read on the forums. The firmware is 5.1 and i plan to use the SX PRO dongle + software.

Does having the above serial number mean it will or won't be compatible with this method.

Your Switch is ipatched.

If it's ipatched and on 5.1.0, then it is presently not hackable. It might be hackable in the distant future if you keep it on 7.0.1 or lower (lower is preferred, so keep it on 5.1.0) and never connect it to the internet. However, it could be quite a while before 5.1.0 is hackable on ipatched systems.

I recommend selling or returning this Switch and getting one that is unpatched. Always check the serial number before making a purchase.

If you get an ipatched Switch on 4.1.0, it is also hackable as long as it has never connected to the internet before.

There is also no reason to purchase SX OS. Just about everything you can do on SX OS can be done for free with Atmosphere.

Always check the serial number for an unpatched Switch before making any purchase. Alternatively, an ipatched Switch on 4.1.0 is hackable, but unpatched is much better.

According to these two site(ismyswitchpatched,damota-checker ) and a post i had read in team-xecuter forum, i bought a switch(JIC: Tennis aces bundle) i was sure the switch is safe so i bought it, BUT after that i saw first post of this forum and i realized my switch is likely patched.(Serials between XAW10075000000 - XAW10120000000 are possibly patched)
the serial number is xaw100759XXXXX
i ordered a jig but i haven't got yet so i cant send a pay load to recognize it accept it or not,
So PLZ someone tell me, Is my switch patched already or not??

My Switch is a very early version XAW4000XXXXXX does it matter that it has the most recent system update? Thanks

It doesn't matter, the current version is 8.1.0 & all cfw support it.

Been following this thread for a while in the shadows and checking the local stores for an unpatched switch. I've found only two so far. One is XAJ40049*** and other XAJ40052***. Both of which are in the possibly patched bracket. Not sure if I should wait or just get one of them considering only one switch was patched on the spreadsheet which was <=XAJ40053.

Just posting my anxieties. Thank you

• XAJ40049 is likely unpatched.
• XAJ40052 is likely unpatched.

Either one should be good. If it's a choice between the two, get the XAJ40049.

@Lacius Thank you for your reply. And yes, good news is both those are unpatched. Me and my friends bought three switches and successfully got 0x7000 while using biskeydump. Checking through the other threads on this forum to know what to do next. Think we are going to start with a full backup using Hekate and figure out how to get emunand running. Below details.

Aside from the storage space, no, there's no reason not to use emuNAND.

Sorry if I am a total noob but I just found a switch XAW100697XXX in the US. That should be good to go correct?
