I’m new to Switch nodding however I had hacked my 3DS a while ago. I tomorrow I will be getting my RCM Jig so I can hack my switch. I checked the serial number and it’s safe.

However I have been looking at posts about connecting to wifi. Will I no longer have access to the e-store to update my actual paid for games? Some threads say it’s safe while others say if you connect to wifi you will get banned.

Can someone explain possibly?

If you care about online play, you should use an offline emuNAND for all hackery and a clean sysNAND for online play.

If you connect to the internet using a dirty NAND, you will be banned.

90DNS and Incognito will allow internet use on a dirty NAND, but it will block online play, eShop, and all other Nintendo services.

If you're using 90DNS and/or Incognito, yes. YouTube requires a patch, if I remember correctly.

You can use normal online play with a clean NAND you haven't used hacks with. All of your hacks should be used with an emuNAND.

And how do you switch back and forth from a SysNAND to EmuNAND again? I’m assuming you just boot without the payload?

You can select which NAND you want to run from Hekate, for example. If you are keeping your sysNAND clean (and don't care about fuses), you can just boot your Switch normally when you want to use your clean sysNAND.

Also, you could use it for web browsing via homebrew, a certain shop equivalent to 3ds freeshop, some alternative servers for online play created by the homebrew community. It is worth having internet for emunand.

For booting up sysnand and emunand, I personally have autoRCM enabled and I select what I want to boot. Under hekate the sysnand is called "stock" (3rd option toward the right) and the emunand is something like "cfw (emmunand)." Keep in mind that if you load the sysnand and want to go back to emmunand, you must use the dongle again to enter RCM and then load the Hekate payload. Shutting off and restarting from regular nanad will only get you into regular nand again.

Will I still be able to load my SysNAND using Hekate even after only using ReinX CFW on my Switch?
Or is it possible that I hacked even my SysNAND and there's no way to use it to get online?

I'm planning on buying a legit game so I can play online with my Pokemon game.
