It's been 2 years I had this problem and I wanted to know if there's any way to fix that.
I know the 3DS is thinking the headphones are plugged in because when I take a photo the shutter sound plays on the console's speakers (this sound plays even if headphones are inserted) and I can confirm with 3DSident :
I tried to take apart the 3DS and see if I can do something and I figured that my problem can be this :
Below is a schematic of a regular headphones jack mechanism and I think the contacts on the left image are not made in my unit.
The 3DS headphones jack looks like that (picture from iFixit) :
And even with looking at the pins voltages I didn't managed to know wich pin is what.
I have CFW installed so I can install pretty much anything. I hope a software fix is doable, I don't really want to mess with small electronics.
I don't really care if I can't use the headphones jack normally after the fix, I just want a way to switch between internal speakers and headphones.
