Homebrew Dsiware NDS to cia with gm9 How To

Hy guys i have seen a few later ago that gm9 was updated with a new Features and about this i see dsiware NDS to cia this have maked my happy and i have installed the 1.8.0. on my 3ds xl. So aat this point i try out how to do the thing with gm9 because i have searched a little bit but can't find anything. When someone can help me this where appreciated Ps: i own 3 3ds i understood a little bit about modding

You can either navigate to the .app file in the game's directory or the .tmd, press A then you should see the options for building a .cia.

The .tmd option will be a bit more accurate if you have a choice.

Building CIA files for DSiWare with GodMode9:

1: From *.nds files
Navigate to the nds file on the SD and you will find the options when pressing (A) on such a file:


2: From TWLN (installed titles)
Search for titles on [2:] SYSNAND TWLN and press (A) on the tmd of the title you wish to dump and build a CIA (standard):

(I blacked out the file lists on SD and TWLN to make it easier to read/see. This is why the "Shantae" title is in the middle of the pictures)


In both cases the resulting .cia files are put to SD:/gm9/out

You can do the same for 3DS software as .3DS files (cartridge dumps) or .CXI files (dumps from installed titles) on the SD and with tmd files you get by searching for titles on [A:] SYSNAND SD.

So i have boot9strap luma 10.0.1 and 1.8.0 godmod9 and when i choose .nds file in NDS option i'm missing Build CIA from File can anyone help please

For some reason I never got a notification about activity in this thread.

Are you sure it is DSiWare you are trying to build a CIA from? The option for building CIA is in plain sight – but only if the source file is DSiWare. For any other .nds files (cartridge dumps) building CIAs makes no sense. If the option for a DSiWare is not there: Maybe the ROM is corrupted.

The next best thing for cartridges – if you insist on having a shortcut right on Home Menu – is [NDS] Forwarder CIAs for your HOME Menu. Please remember the overall 40 DSiWare titles limit. Not more than 40 forwarders and DSiWare at a time. TWiLight Menu++ has no such limits.
